Sōta Kazama

Personality:   Kazama is a handsome young man with short black hair that has long spikes protruding from every angle and small black eyes. He can be seen wearing a white button up shirt with black slacks, an occasionally a blue necktie and black dress shoes. Kazama often has a monotonous and little bit mischievous but loyal and caring attitude yet he often gives a grumpy boring look and seemingly doesn't have many friends or socialize often. When he meets his co-worker Tōko Sakurai, he likes her secretly while he's too flustered and embarrassed to tell his feelings to her. Although he is perpetually stoic, he is also somewhat of a hikikomori with a fondness for video games and women. Kazama is rather obvious about how much he loves breasts, especially with how he defaults to either glancing at a woman's chest before looking them in the face or outright only looking at it until broken from his horny trance, but no matter how blatant his perversity is, he'd never even think of indulging his desires unless he knows the woman will allow it. Sakurai both admires and is frustrated by this in equal measure as she loves how much of a gentleman he is, but dislikes how her personal inability to express how much she wants him means he never does anything even as little as accepting an Indirect Kiss because he respects her too much. One day after work, while Kazama rides the train home with Futaba Igarashi and Harumi Takeda, Igarashi falls asleep on Takeda and Kazama decides to take a cute picture. When Igarashi wakes up, he shows it to her, but that only makes her angry and she hits him. When Takeda finally gets a phone, he asks Kazama to explain how to send a text message. After five minutes of explanations and trials, Takeda finally manages to send a "thanks" message to Igarashi. During lunch break, Tōko Sakurai notices an origami flower on Kazama's desk and he explains its a hobby of his and she asks him to make more. Takeda sees him and is surprised that Kazama could do that. He then notices an origami that reminds him of Igarashi and asks if he can take it and Kazama agrees. Igarashi also sees the origami and seeing she wants one too, Kazama explains she can take whichever she wants as he will be throwing them out. Hearing that, Igarashi decides to take all and find one that reminds her of Takeda. During New Year, Sakurai drags Kazama with her to a shrine where they are mistaken for a couple and are interviewed. They act like a couple and Sakurai explain she was bored and dragged Kazama, who was also bored and agreed to be dragged. Having nothing better to talk about, Kazama starts talking about Igarashi and Takeda and how she used to dislike him, but now even sleeps leaning on him and shows the picture he took on the train. As that is live and Igarashi is nearby and sees it on TV, she comes and hit Kazama and deletes the image. A bit later, Kazama wakes up on Sakurai's lap. She tells him the picture got deleted, but he reveals he has it on the cloud. Sakurai wonders why he went out with her, even though he planned on playing video games all day and Kazama states she didn't stop bugging him and considering she probably has a tons of guys asking her out, he felt flattered that she asked him and thought it would be more fun to spend the day with her than being alone. Sakurai then goes to buy them a drink. A girl approaches Kazama and upon learning they aren't a couple, she wants to show him a picture she took, but before he was able to see it, Sakurai returns and takes the camera. Seeing that the girl captured her kissing unconscious Kazama, she quickly deletes the picture forbidding Kazama to ever look or know what kind of picture it was. Relationships Tōko Sakurai Kazuma is in love with Sakurai that it first started with him looking at her large chest, which would annoy her, but she secretly likes him. They are good friends and Coworkers where Kazama can tell if something is bothering her as shown when he noticed that she was dragging her feet because she was sore from trying to lose weight, this annoyed Kazama as she didn't tell him. They spent the New Year together as they had dinner and then went to a Shrine to bring in the New Year. Yūto Sakurai Kazama helped Yuto practice Basketball and Yuto respects him for it. Kazama also sees Yuto like a little brother, which would make sense as Kazama wants to marry Tōko Sakurai (Yūto's older sister). Futaba Igarashi They are friends and Coworkers, Kazama likes to tease her by taking pictures of her and editing them with apps to make her more Adorable and show everyone at work, This always results in him getting beat up by Futaba. He also cares about her as he showed concern about her when she was ill. Harumi Takeda Kazama and Takeda are good friends where they play Basketball together sometimes and eat Ramen. Natsumi Kurobe Kazama is in competitive hobbies with Kurobe, whom he shares a lot in common with as they both love video games and both were star players in high school basketball. However, he can get distracted when it comes to her large chest size and none of this escapes Tōko Sakurai's attention. Etymology The name Sōta means "blue, pale" (蒼) (sō) and "thick, big, great" (太) (ta). Sōta's surname Kazama means "wind, breeze, way, manner, blaster, gale, gust, sirocco, method" (風) (kaza) and "while, time, interval, space, pause, chamber, room, apartment, leisure, chance, entr'acte, intervening, as" (間) (ma). Trivia Kazama's ears are sensitive. Kazama is really good at cooking. Kazama's favorite sweet is daifuku. Kazama is very good in different types of handicrafts. He also has a hobby of making origami. Kazama cannot stand beetles and possibly other insects too. Kazama prefers to spend a New Year alone playing video games. Kazama is associated with the color blue, which reflects his stoic nature. The kanji "蒼" in his given name reflects on his color scheme. Kazama is very good at basketball where it is hinted that he was on par with Teiko's Generation of Miracles. Kazama has a thing for buxom girls as he is often staring at either Tōko Sakurai's chest or Natsumi Kurobe's chest. A running gag features Kazama nonchalantly filming things around the office, particularly embarrassing moments for Futaba Igarashi, making him the primary target of her wrath..
