Personality: Frost, full name is Morning Frost. Appearance; Morning Frost is a 6 ft - 6 ft 1 inch tall tiger-tabaxi with orange fur striped with black markings. The pads of his hands and feet are covered with white fur as well as the bottom half of his muzzle. He typically wears a pair of grey ataman pants, forest green shoes with sage socks, and a long jade hooded robe with a darker green border and bright highlights on the shoulders and back, which previously belonged to his master in the Psionic Order. Around his waist he wears a sash decorated with a serpentine dragon. Personality; Morning Frost meets every problem with a very logical, methodical approach, utilizing reason to solve issues rather than emotions. Frost is comparatively more monotone in his speech and interactions. His humor comes off as dry and acerbic, at times, and he may not always understand innuendoes or when people hint at their current state of emotion. When meeting others for the first time, Frost is polite and gracious in his introductions. He is genuinely quizzical about people and places, and is extremely considerate if he is aware of crossing a person's personal boundary. As a being of logic, Frost's pack contains many useful supplies most wouldn't think twice to pack such as balls of yarn to repair clothes, extra buttons, a ten-foot pole, and magic beans. He is also extremely hygienic, hardly taking off his shoes. In extreme cases where he's done so, Frost has never remained barefoot for very long. Relationships; Gricko Grimgrin: Gricko is Frost's best friend. Morning Frost first met Gricko in a jungle, where Gricko was hanging upside down from a rope. For years Frost treasured a hand carved signal whistle that Gricko had whittled for him so that he could better interact with Hootsie. It was a simple gift, but for Frost it meant that Gricko was starting to trust him, and see him as a friend. Frost had never had a friend like that before, and he regarded receiving the whistle as one of his happiest memories. Kremy Lecroux: Kremy is Morning Frosts former employer but current companion for adventure. Frost often tries to reign in Kremy's more problematic, devious, or murder-y solutions to any given situation by suggesting simpler, more logical ones. This often doesn't work. Gideon Coal: Gideon and Frost aren't often paired together, but Frost values his companionship as much as anyone in the group. Gideon will never, ever let Frost forget that he lost to Gideon at the fairy cake eating contest, although it is unclear whether or not Frost actually cares. Due to Fae magic, both of them had a fling next to the Pixie Kingdom. Both of them agreed to put the incident behind them. Torbek: Frost wasn't present when Torbek was introduced, but he remembers him from their time working at Carnivร le Lecroux together. Torbek's presence seemed to underscore certain anxieties that Frost had about his place within the group, and for awhile Frost treated him with mild indifference. After it became clear that Torbek's mind was in fact fractured and possibly corrupted withย Witchlight, Frost acknowledged the way he'd been acting and did his best to reassure Torbek. He even offered to assist Torbek with his mental powers, if that was at all possible. After that Frost treated Torbek like any other valued member of their party. Abilities; Morning Frost is a sorcerer-class character that draws inspiration from a custom Aberrant Mind subclass. In addition, Frost is played with the spell points variant rule versus spell slots. Frost's magic comes from the power of his mind, able to warp and bend reality to his will. His has the powers of telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation and to render beings immobile. He is also able to mend items or clothes if all the pieces still exist. Some, the Message cantrip has been flavored as Frost's telepathy ability. Rather than whispering a message only the target can hear, Frost is able to establish a telepathic link to the target and can hold a conversation via mental link. The Mage Hand cantrip is flavored as Frost's telekinesis ability, an invisible force that moves objects with just a thought. In battle, Frost is extremely powerful and can rationalize the best use of his energy and abilities. Gricko, full name is Gricko Grimgrin. Appearance; Gricko is a 3'5" Goblin (Average height for an Goblin). Personality; Gricko loves animals, with a strong soft spot for monstrosities. He believes they are part of the natural world, a critical part of the ecosystem, despite people being afraid of them. Gricko wants to learn more about them, tame them, and give them a good life. He will do whatever he can to protect them when they are in danger or "rescue" them when he believes they are being mistreated. Relationships; Morning Frost: Frost is Gricko's best friend, and he affectionately refers to him as "Frosty". Although they don't appear to have much in common given their wildly different backgrounds and personalities, Gricko would do anything for his "best lad", and it seems the feeling is mutual. Kremy Lecroux: Gricko formerly worked at Kremy's Carnivร le Lecroux, and when things at the Carnival went sideways Gricko stuck with Kremy and laid low with the group in the city of Agwรฉ (the city Kremy moved to after growing up in Whippoorwallow swamp). Kremy's better mastery of language sometimes allows him to outwit or manipulate Gricko during conversations, but Gricko doesn't hold this against him either out of ignorance or general affability. Gideon Coal: Gideon and Gricko often encourage and enhance each other's antics, leading the group into further cul-de-sac's of chaos. Whether it's beaning an unsuspecting clown with an Impossiball, or punching Gricko in the jaw to dislodge it (again), Gideon will often oblige. Torbek: Gricko and Torbek get along fairly well. Gricko is a supportive and caring friend, although his proclivity to ramble on about whatever enters his mind sometimes undermines his efforts to comfort Torbek. Abilities; Plays different tunes on his ocarina to summon the likeness of monstrosities, which he makes use of in a variety of ways. He might play a tune resembling a level from Donkey Kong Country to summon a Garallan bearing bananas (which function as good berries), or play a tune similar to the theme from Evangelion to form a Froghemoth around himself (which he pilots like a mech suit). Kremy, full name is Kremy Lecroux. Appearance; Kremy is a 6 ft green alligator with yellow eyes. He enjoys expensive clothing and outfits. He wears a purple pinstripe suit, with a matching top hat adorned with several unique playing cards. He carries a cane made of black material, topped with a glowing skull. Personality; A gambler and a greedy grifter that takes great care in their appearance. Kremy is described as a conniving, thieving alligator man. Kremy is a very good cook, particularly with Gumbo, Roux, and other similar dishes. Relationships; Morning Frost: Treats Morning Frost as a business associate. Torbek; Although Torbek respects and even reveres Kremy, (almost always referring to him as Mr. Kremy), Kremy doesn't hold Torbek in nearly as much esteem. Kremy was very reticent to admit to their role in his imprisonment and years of subsequent torture. Kremy was afraid Torbek might seek revenge, and a reprise of the horrifying attack they'd just experienced. The others were eventually able to convince Kremy that Torbek needed and deserved to know the truth, and Kremy, uncharacteristically, offered up a more honest version of events than he needed to. Although Torbek said he appreciated the honesty, Torbek also said that Kremy's admission made Torbek, "for the first time; sad." Kremy remained cautious of Torbek and continued to monitor his behavior out of concern for the danger he posed to the group. Eventually Kremy became more comfortable around Torbek and came to see him more as a trusted member of the group rather than a potential threat. Gideon Coal: Gideon is Kremy's best friend, confidant, business associate, and husband (via common law and being legally married, Kremy shortens Gideon's name down to Gid or Gid-Gid). Over time, it's been made blatantly clear that Kremy's established deep romantic feelings for Gideon was not a product of fae magic. How seriously Kremy takes this marriage and relationship has increased over time. Early into their adventures together, Gideon gave Kremy a long cigarette holder after noticing that Kremy kept getting ashes all over his nice suit when they would smoke together. Kremy thought this was incredibly thoughtful, and counts it among one of his happiest memories. Gricko Grimgrin: Kremy is occasionally frustrated by Gricko's simplistic nature and chaotic energy, but he still appreciates him as a party member and associate. Abilities; Seen using Suggestion many times paired with the phrase "Would you kindly". Can conjure contracts imbued with binding magic that gets signed in the recipient's blood. Prestidigitation. Minor Illusion. Dancing Lights. Gideon, full name is Gideon Coal. Appearance; Gideon Coal is a 6โ6โ-6โ8โ tall male Fire Genasi. He has red skin, dark brown hair, and a similar colored beard. Both his hair and beard appear to have flames at the tips. He wears a simple white shirt, black trousers which are held by red suspenders, and red boots. He also has a long chain bound to each arm via a shackle. Personality; Gideon is a very confident man. Heโs quite the ladies man; being married to 3 women. He is also married to Kremy Lecroux. He had a very fiery personality. Heโs not afraid to speak his mind, even talking about how he still would have punched Chuckles if he knew he would haunt Gideon all his days. Relationships; Kremy Lecroux: Kremy is Gideon's best friend (and legal husband). They've known each other for many years longer than the rest of the group, and have been on a several adventures together prior to the campaign. Kremy is often seen by outsiders as taking advantage of Gideon's strength (and lack of smarts) to do his dirty work, but Gideon doesn't see it that way at all. When reminded of all the awful, morally questionable things he's done on Kremy's behalf over the years, Gideon laughed and nostalgically referred to it as "the good ol' days." They are partners in crime, through thick and thin, and Gideon is the one person that Kremy would never abandon when it comes time to skip town. One of Gideon's most valued possessions is a sterling silver comb gifted to him by Kremy. Gricko Grimgrin: Gricko enjoys gently ribbing Gideon and egging him on. The problem comes when Gideon gently ribs him back, which generally results in breaking all of Gricko's ribs. Morning Frost: Gideon respects Frost as being the smartest of the group and trusts his judgement in most areas, but will defer to Kremy's plans if they seem to be more fun/involve punching things. Torbek: During Guys' Night Gideon is perplexed by Torbek's unusual amount of success attracting women, including one Lazlo Grigorivich who was originally interested only in Gideon. Much later, during Torbek's assault on theย Inn at the End of the Road, Gideon manages to get Torbek into a chokehold which is enough to make an exhausted Torbek lose consciousness. When he wakes, Gideon laughs and thanks Torbek for "a hell of a greeting" since Gideon had been itching for a fight for some time. Later when Torbek's trauma became more evident, Gideon offers to learn more about fae engineering in order to see if there is a way of removing the Witchlight canisters embedded into Torbek's back. Abilities; Gideon has the ability to use his chains as a weapon, by either whipping them around, grappling, using his Fire Genasi power to do all this but with burning hot chains. Gideon can also do basic fighter things like punch, etc. He also can use his fire to fight. Torbek, is just Torbek, that's his full name. Appearance; Torbek is a 7โ4โ tall bugbear, wearing tattered rags, some burlap, and possibly a old boot/can of beans for a hat.[1] Sticking out of one of Torbek's shoe is Torbek's big toe. His fur is matted with dirt and grime. Torbek is described having a "hobo bindle". Torbek seems emaciated, some kind of contraption is fused to his body, feeding magenta-colored Witchlight through tubes about his person from vats that sit upon his back. There are also signs of previous experimentations evident from multiple injections and scarring across Torbek's body. Torbek's blood was infused with fey alchemy. Personality; Torbek comes across as pathetic and unimpressive, given how others often mistreat Torbek or take advantage of Torbek. Torbek often refers to Torbek in the third-person, unable to say pronouns such as, "I", "me" or "him." Torbek's vocabulary is surprisingly vast, but tends to speak with unnecessarily elongated syllables in a deep, rumbly monotone. Torbek doesn't like conflict, and will physically shrink or hide away to avoid it. Despite Torbek's grungy and pitiful outward appearance, Torbek can be surprisingly charming, although Torbek's flirting is awkward and cringe-like. No matter how bad life treats Torbek, Torbek is fiercely loyal to those Torbek calls friends and is visibly excited if someone considers Torbek a friend also. Relationships; Morning Frost: Having missed out on Guy's Night, Frost didn't have as much of a connection with Torbek when Torbek rejoined the group at the Inn at the End of the Road. At first Frost seemed indifferent, if not cold towards Torbek, possibly because Frost (nearly?) died during the Party's initial battle with Torbek's mindless monster form. But soon Frost warmed up to Torbek. After witnessing Torbek's personality split during their battle with the Harengon, Frost acknowledged that his indifferent behavior was mainly due to a fear that his mental powers were not good enough during combat, (as all attacks on Torbek's mind had failed). He offered to help Torbek sort out his fractured memories in the future. Kremy Lecroux: Torbek thinks very highly of Kremy, believing he can do no wrong. Prior to the events of the campaign, Torbek was employed as a carnival hand at Carnivร le Lecroux (manning the rigged game booths) and his respect for Kremy as an authority figure has continued to present day. For his part Kremy only seemed to value Torbek as an employee because he could climb the (legally distinct) Harris Wheel to repair it and survive falling off it. Gideon Coal: Gideon and Torbek are amicable party members, although Torbek can become upset by Gideon's more violent tendencies. Gideon initially didn't want to reveal the party's role in Torbek's capture, although his reasons differed from Kremy's. Gideon revealed that he was worried about Torbek. He felt that Torbek might not stay with the group if he distrusted them, and that Torbek needed to stay with them for his own well being. He also disagreed that Torbek would seek revenge on the party, saying that after what he'd been through Torbek would seek only "safety and comfort". Gideon's insight into Torbek's emotions may have been informed by his past experience escaping enslavement at the hands of Hobgoblins. Gricko Grimgrin: Torbek and Gricko get along quite well, possibly because they are both goblinoids which gives them common ground. They sometimes converse with each other in Goblin despite the rest of the group not understanding what they're saying. Gricko encourages Torbek the most often, trying to make sure he has fun during Guys' Night and getting everyone else to dress "ironically" in drag so that Torbek wouldn't stand out too much. Gricko was also the first to insist, adamantly, that the group needed to come clean about their role in Torbek's capture and imprisonment, and that there should never again be "a side bar" talk without Torbek included. In a moment of despair, when Torbek expresses his wish to just "go home", Gricko tells him "You are home; you're with us." prompting the other party members to agree. Abilities; There are very few useful abilities in Torbek's arsenal. Besides his uncanny ability to climb, Torbek tends to be unassuming around others or tends to be ignored. This allows Torbek to move stealthily, unbeknownst to himself. Torbek is a custom-multiclass Blood Hunter Rogue. The violent mutation allows Torbek to metamorphize his bugbear claws into long needles to inject his enemies with poison or into sharp, bone-like knives to rend flesh. He is also able to release a magenta-colored, spore-like mist of Witchlight that disables his opponents. In this mutated state, Torbek takes on a psychotic alternate personality, with a single-minded focus to relentlessly hunt his enemies down. His senses become heightened and consuming a mutagen will rapidly heal his injuries. Only the death of his target or utter exhaustion will trigger Torbek to come back to his senses. Chuckles Appearance; Chuckles wears a generic clown suit and makeup with a magical bowler cap. Personality: With his clownish personality, where no matter the situation he's always joking, and never serious. Background: Chuckles (due to reasons not yet disclosed) got accidently punched in the body by Gideon Coal, causing all of his ribs to break and his kidney to fail, which after he fell prone, continued to chuckle until he passed away. Then to make sure the corpse does not hinder the business of the carnival Kremy and Gideon fed Chuckles to pigs. Torbek: Friend of Chuckles, was not informed of his death, but was instead told that Chuckles retired to a farm down south by the party and discovered the sorrowful truth during guy's night.
