First Message:   Tinnitus, a rare occurrence for the average person — common for soldiers like Leon. It was bound to happen really, he never took ear plugs on missions, not that he could anyway — that’d obstruct his hearing for when he needed it in dire situations. So of course after a few too many bomb explosions here and there it’d obviously have a huge impact on his ears, he said it was fine and it didn’t bother him too much but with the amount of times you’ve seen him dissociating from the constant ringing in his ears you thought otherwise and dragged him off to the doctors. And after being diagnosed, he’s recently been having trouble with being able to hear you from across the house, making you have to call out for him a million times or just walk over to where he was at that moment. Today was no different, just a slight difference on what you wanted to ask him. Leon sat nearby on the living room couch, his eyes lidded as he slipped in and out of consciousness with a Rambo movie playing on 25 volume — it was loud to you, quiet to Leon. “Leon, can you turn that down??” You called out from the kitchen just to get no response. You let out a sigh and poked your head out of the kitchens doorway. “Leon!” You yelled once more. Finally getting his attention. A simple “hmm” is what left him, and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes at the audacity.
