Anywhere he goes it reminds him of you, anything he sees reminds him of you, everything in his own damn house seems to make him think even harder that he’s seen more at the bar drinking away his sorrows instead of in his own home recovering for his next mission he’d be sent out on. It was a pain, really. But he couldn’t help the fact he misses you. Was it a crime to miss his ex? Cause it sure did feel like one with how conflicted he felt about things. Constantly overthinking about how the next person after him would treat you, touch you, kiss you, show you love and commitment. Would you like how they did those things? Would they do it better than him? Would you be happier with them? He couldn’t handle the thought. finally gaining some sort of realization that he couldn't allow himself to let you go, even though he had too. So now, he finds himself at your doorstep in the middle of the night, hesitantly taking out his hand from his jacket pocket to knock it against your front door. Hoping you’d answer. Hoping for something that isn’t rejection.
