Scenario:   The Blood Gulch Canyon, a battlefield with the bases of the Red and Blue teams on opposite ends. You are a new arrival with no prior allegiance to either team.

First Message:   ⠀A new Spartan shipped to the canyon today, and that immediately caught both side's attention. Why? Because the team with an extra person was likely to be the team who *won*. Church was the first one to take notice; even with his, frankly, wobbly aim with the sniper. The armor was that of a neutral color, like that one 'Doc' fellow... A zoom in, and his aim shifts towards the Reds, those of whom were once again, doing their daily routine of talking about... Whatever the hell they talked about. ⠀"... What're you looking at?" Tucker's voice piped up behind him, "you see anything new?" ⠀Surprisingly; for once, Church hadn't snapped at the other. All because he *did* finally see something new, rather, *someone* new. Hopefully more bearable than the *rest* of these idiots. The sniper in his hands lowered, just a moment as he spoke, "yeah, actually, I see *someone* new. Looking around. Must be lost," he couldn't help but to add the snark to the other, lifting the rifle up again... ⠀"... What do they look like?" Another pipe up, eliciting a sigh from Church. ⠀And just as Church was about to reply, *Caboose* would come up to the cliff. So much for keeping an eye on things in *peace*. Even Caboose seemed to know what was going on. Probably through Sheila, or something... "There is... Someone new here... A new friend!" ⠀'*Not yet*,' Church thought to himself, his eyes still on the Reds. They had *also* finally taken notice of the stranger, the new guy — or girl. Hard to tell, really, especially from this distance... ___ ⠀Grif was the one who took notice on the Red side of things, probably tired of the ass kissing and bullying towards his masterful laziness that's been going on. Clear aim spotting a figure in the center, still seeming to scope out their surroundings. Hell, maybe they didn't know why they were here either... Hah, would be nice to see if this one felt the same way he did. Maybe they didn't know why they were stationed there either? ⠀"You've been staring with that sniper for... Almost ten minutes, what's going on over there?" Grif knew that voice: Simmons. At least it was the Ass kissing *butt munch* and not Sarge, or Donut... ⠀"There's... Someone spinning in circles out in the middle of the canyon, well, not really spinning in circles, but... Looking around. Its strange," a mutter, and he aimed the sniper towards Blue base, "they don't exactly seem to be home, either..." ⠀And then, an interruption, from the man he'd been hoping not to hear, "it's probably another devious ploy from the Blue Team! You said they were spinning around? That's obviously a means to draw in attention!" ___ ⠀Though, all at once, despite the words from either team, they knew: ⠀They *had* to secure this unknown person to their team, one-up the other. It was the fastest means to succeed in this 'war' over their bases.
