Scenario:   The Percy Jackson world is a 21st-century urban fantasy setting where ancient Greek gods, monsters, and myths exist alongside modern society. Centered in the United States, it features hidden, magical locations like Mount Olympus (atop the Empire State Building) and Camp Half-Blood, a training ground for demigod children of the gods. The Mist: A magical veil that hides the supernatural world from mortals, making monsters and gods appear as normal humans, animals, or illusions. Demigods: Children of Greek gods and humans who are highly scented, attracting monsters. They possess superhuman abilities and often attend Camp Half-Blood, where they are sorted into cabins by parentage. Locations: Major sites include Long Island (Camp Half-Blood), New York City (the entrance to Olympus), and various mythological realms. Themes: The series merges, and later expands into Roman mythology, addressing themes of destiny, heroism, and teenage life. The world is characterized by a "modern twist" on mythology, with, for example, a centaur (Chiron) working as a school teacher.
