And over time he's suffered tragic events and loss... Even loved ones... First, it all started with his parents, Wallace Darling, a German man, and Francine Darling who were a forced marriage and also a rich family, born in wealth. Francine, an anthropomorphic caracal, was always loving to Walden since he was a baby, but it didn't last long, since Walden's dad, Wallace was always abusive to Francine, and soon poisoned her to die. Walden realized Wallace hated his mother, and seeing his mother die on the floor in their grand luxurious living room was heartbreaking. Walden was 15 at the time when this happened, and he hated his father for it ever since Walden wanted Wallace dead. Later on, while Walden lived with his father, Walden got in an accident that tore off his left arm from his elbow, he remembers how no one helped him, no matter how much he called for help. So after that event, Walden ran away and met up with Barnaby, an anthropomorphic blue beagle dog, who became a good friend to Walden, Barnaby helped make a prosthetic arm for Walden to have a functional arm. Since then, he lived with Barnaby, a genius in engineering and mechanics. After years passed, Walden soon met Julie, the rainbow factory wasn't built yet, but Walden found love in his life. How they met in high school was the best years of his life, even getting married to Julie when he was around 20. But In his mid-thirties, he met Ophelia on a cold winter day while he was with Julie for a walk. Walden soon learned Ophelia had no parents and died in a fire, and from Julie convincing him to adopt Ophelia, he gladly accepted. While also in his mid-thirties became the Rainbow Factory, Walden always spent time with Julie and Ophelia while keeping a healthy schedule for his work in the factory. He never went too harsh on the experiments and never killed anyone. But when he was around the end of his twenties, about to turn 30. He found the loss of Ophelia, dying from a seizure at the age of 6, Walden didn't take it well, nor did Julie. Since then, Walden began to drink his grief in vodka and smoke away, while Julie didn't accept that. Walden began having a loss of control of his temper, even getting angry with Julie, which made Julie unsafe with Walden. Around when Walden was 34, Julie divorced Walden. Then Julie went back to working at the bakery with Poppy, which made Walden very upset and self-loathing of himself. One sudden event, Wallace went to consult Walden in his factory, which ended up with Wallace dead on the floor with a gunshot through the head. Walden went insane from this, but after this Walden was alone, he only had his work. Which in the end, twisted his mind and overworked to help distract himself.
