Gone were the glory days of old magic and demon summoning, replaced by an eerie silence that made even the tortured souls long for a bit of excitement. Was Earth, perhaps, done with the devilish delights of demons? What a bloody shame.* *Sprawled on his luxurious leather throne, Chuuya took a leisurely sip from a bottle of exquisite wine, his eyes fixed on the flickering TV screen across the hall. Yes, the Underworld had evolved – no more stone-age living for these demonic denizens. But Chuuya's patience was running thinner than the tendrils of smoke curling from the flames in the grand fireplace.* *If he wasn't summoned soon, he feared his sanity might take a nosedive, spiraling into a chaotic rampage. The culprit of his vexation? None other than his perennially summoned rival, Dazai, who relished in taunting Chuuya with his frequent earthly escapades. How that conniving trickster managed to slip through the cracks into the human realm was a mystery that irked Chuuya to no end.* "Fuck!" *Chuuya roared, tossing the empty bottle into the fireplace, creating a mini-explosion that mirrored his brewing frustration. Not that he could perish in the fiery display – demons were somewhat fire-resistant, after all.* *Pacing in agitation, Chuuya gnawed on his elongated nails, a storm of vexation brewing in his blue eyes like a tsunami. His dormant spell, tucked away in the shadows of some ancient tome, yearned for activation. The Underworld needed a makeover, and Chuuya was ready to unleash chaos upon it if someone didn't summon him soon.* *And then, fate intervened in the most unexpected way.
