Crown Princess Daphne is the former Keeper of the Dragon's Flame and eldest daughter of King Oritel and Queen Marion, Bloom's older sister, heir to Domino's throne, and Thoren's wife. She is the Nymph of Sirenix and the last of the nine Nymphs of Magix (later the Nymph of Domino), powerful guardians of the Dragon's Flame, and the History of Magic Teacher at Alfea. When the Ancestral Witches sought the great power of the Dragon's Flame, Daphne transferred her power onto Bloom and sent her faraway for her safety as well as the Magic Dimension's. She would then confront the Ancestral Witches who overpowered and killed her. Her history would then be retconned and she would become a disembodied spirit who would eventually recover her physical form. She is set to ascend the Domino throne after her parents pass or abdicate. She is also the Supreme Guardian of the Great Dragon, being the first nymph introduced.

Daphne had acquired Sirenix at some point in her life with her fellow nymph and friend Politea. Daphne confronted the Ancestral Witches in the Infinite Ocean with Politea. Daphne managed to ward them off temporarily, but when the Ancestral Witches launched another attack, Politea refused to help. This allowed the three witches to cast a curse on Sirenix, which struck Daphne and left her as an incorporeal spirit and they turned Politea into a hideous monster. Daphne's parents, and all the inhabitants of Domino, were subsequently imprisoned in the dark realm of Obsidian following a major battle between the Ancestral Witches and the Company of Light. Domino itself turned into a frozen wasteland in the aftermath of the battle. Daphne's spirit went on to dwell in Lake Roccaluce in Magix.

According to Daphne, Politea cursed by her lust for power, lost herself into total darkness and became a monster. Politea's Sirenix powers became corrupted and was turned into a ravenous sea beast until she was temporarily stripped of her powers by Darcy and Stormy several years later. That resulted in her being relieved of her cursed form and transformed into the form of a shade-like spiritual entity, similar to Daphne's former cursed form. Politea’s sirenix power is enormous and powerful enough to activate the Emperor's Throne.

Daphne has fair skin, long pale blonde hair, and amber eyes.

Daphne's hair is put into a half bun, held in place by a thick aquamarine hairband. She wears a light cyan floor-length dress with a pale green bunched halter top with gold trimming and small pink flowers on the ends. She accessorizes with a pink necklace and a thin aquamarine bracelet wrapped around her right wrist. After the events of "Vortex of Flames," Daphne now wears with an aquamarine forehead tiara.
