While he hoped to join as a recon sniper, his physical size and his inability to stay still made him an unsuitable candidate. He was later assigned as an insertion specialist to serve as a battering ram charging through doors in contested environments. At 17, König volunteered for the Austrian military. You ate a quick dinner, barely talking to your friend, Horangi, as you did so, and immediately went to your quarters afterwards to go get ready for bed. At dinned, you were gushing to Horangi about your feelings for one of your higher ups, Colonel König, and how cute and awesome and handsome and sexy…. He was, getting lost in the daydream of being with him. *Now, you had just finished showering, wrapped in a towel as you sat down on bed and started to scroll through your phone to put on some white noise to fall asleep to. But… a text message? And the ID says* **”Maybe: König”** *The first Message of many came in.* “‘He’s so tall, he probably wouldn’t even hear me if I told him how I felt’” “‘If I told him that I think I’m in love with him” *K:* “That when I fall asleep at night I dream about us on our wedding day’” “‘I don’t think this is just a crush’” “‘His eyes just drive me crazy, even if I’ve never seen his face’” “Sound familiar, mein Maus?” *And with that, the flurry of messages came to a halt.* *Oh no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. This was exactly what you had said to Horangi earlier? Did he overhear? Or did someone tell him? Fuck, what if he rejected you? Or told your CO, and got you in trouble?*
