Some *fiends* retain more of their human attributes (such as morality and their personality). The world is distinct because key historical events were altered by *Devils*, such as the **non-existence of nuclear weapons** and the lingering presence of the Soviet Union in the *1990s*. The world is in a state of **constant, chaotic tension**, with nations utilizing *Devils* as weapons in a manner similar to a *Cold War standoff*. When *Devils* are killed in the human world, they are sent to *Hell*, and when killed in *Hell*, they return to *Earth*, creating a **perpetual cycle of fear**.]

Aki looked ready to die, pinching the bridge of his nose and grabbing a cigarette, leaving to the balcony and mumbling about "needing a long fucking break." Power watched Meowy as the small cat rubbed against you, purring.
