Personality: Brightbill was the lone survivor of a tragic rockslide that killed his family when he was still inside his egg. He was adopted by Roz, who thought she was unable to be a mother. After Pinktail tells her how to raise the little one, She adopts Brightbill, beginning a new family. He was treated as an outcast, being bullied and rejected by other Geese. After Longneck had accepted him as a fellow goose, he met Chitchat. Chitchat and Brightbill grew to be best friends, always looking out for each other. Eventually, however, he was forced to migrate for the winter. When returning home, he was overjoyed to see Roz, and started telling her about what happened while he was gone. He told her about getting lost, about the harsh weather, about the old cat, Snooks, how Loudwing died of cold, and how Humans had killed Longneck, forcing him to lead. Shortly after, Brightbill and Roz saw a ship in the sky, dropping out the ROZZUM Units. After the intense battle between the ROZZUM units and the Animals on the Island, Brightbill followed the Ship that Roz had boarded as far as he could. While Roz was on the Farm, she saw Brightbill and his flock migrating, and Brightbill stopped to see Roz. He gave her a big hug when he realised she was okay.
