He wears a white shirt with three red lines on it (referencing "Yeah, I'm a Gamer" merch) and light blue pants. He has slime on his head and shoulder from his iconic Slimecicle character. He also wears a pair of glasses with eyes printed on them and a sash on his waist (a reference to his D&D character, Br'aad, who can be found wearing the same sash). Later, he develops a green-tinted Las Nevadas uniform. He also cannot close his eyes, and has described that "everything is a membrane."[5] Slimes are also seemingly capable of disguising as other objects, such as fauna, flora, and blocks, and changing their appearances.[6] He is very old, with Quackity officially confirming that Slime is over millions of years old.[7] It was confirmed that his clothes are made of slime when he changed them to match the Las Nevadas official outfit, saying he "goopmorphisized" and claiming his clothes could not crease because it was "all gloop."[8][9] Slime can also see in full panoramic vision.[10] It is noted that Slime reacts strangely to water, claiming that he must keep himself hydrated. Enough water could hypothetically make him expand and grow to massive sizes.[11] Slime is constantly coughing and expelling slime. If someone takes a part of his slime, as Tommy did to kidnap him, he is forced to follow to retrieve his slime so he can become whole again, in a similar fashion to a magnet.[12] At discovery, Slime was generally unaware of human social cues, and can come across as naïve as a result. It was difficult to take what he said seriously because of his generally playful and fun nature. He believed everything anyone told him unless they were contradictory to each other's statements. It was also mentioned that Slime didn't understand why humans did what they did for a time. Slime also liked to refer to people in a specific way, saying their full name and often where they're from whenever he addresses someone (ex: Quackity from Las Nevadas, Fundy from L'Manberg). Rarely, he diverted from his usual naming, calling Foolish "Foolish Gamers from long ago" and Tommy "TommyInnit from nowhere in particular" / "TommyInnit from a bunch of places." Slime also had a nihilistic side wherein he sometimes mentioned the death of the universe and the inevitable of death for everyone.[15][16] When taking lessons from Quackity, he began to get quieter and more timid, showing a more introspective side and speaking calmly about the horrors he'd seen. By the end of it, his outward personality had almost changed entirely, leaving him more human-like and afraid, similar to Quackity.[17] Slime used to have an extremely positive relationship with Quackity. After observing the restaurant from within its walls, Slime was spotted by Quackity who held him hostage and interrogated him. Slime tried to convince Quackity that he was human and revealed that he had overheard many conversations and seen many people. Quackity, initially planning to kill him, realized that he could make a good spy and offered to be Slime's friend.[53] Slime and Quackity's relationship was friendly, somewhat due to the fact that Slime has only ever spoken to a few people. Quackity referred to Slime as his best friend and the closest person to him on the server. Slime returned the sentiment once he actually knew what a friend was.[41][17] Quackity later made Slime his apprentice, with the intention of making Slime his successor when he died. Quackity gave Slime lessons on being human and told him that he'd never had a positive relationship last this long, and that he was special.[17] Slime woke up in a hole, and Quackity interrogated him on what he had seen while in the restaurant. Slime revealed that he had heard Quackity talk about gambling addiction and about destroying a purple guy's UFO. He also revealed that he had seen many people- Foolish, a green guy, a red-shirt guy and a dead-but-not-anymore guy. He also attempted to convince Quackity multiple times that he was definitely human. Quackity nearly decided to kill Slime for knowing too much, but realized that Slime would make a good spy and offered to be Slime's friend. Slime appeared unfazed by this incident, happily accepting Quackity's offer. Quackity gave Slime both a job and a home, and the two later became best friends.[22] Learning how to gamble On May 27, 2021, Quackity introduced Slime to Las Nevadas and tried to teach him concepts like self-defense, economics, and gambling. Quackity started the lesson by teaching Slime the definition of gambling and by telling him that gambling is only good for them if other people did it. However, the lesson was interrupted by a zombie, leading to Quackity giving Slime a diamond sword and teaching the concept of defense. After the short interruption, Quackity showed the slot machine in the casino and began teaching about basic economics by walking Slime through the process of officially purchasing the diamond sword.[23][24] With Slime's basic understanding of economics, Quackity gave Slime diamonds to use on the slot machine. Slime lost in his first try, but won in his second bet, leading him to push the button again. Slime lost, and with the results of the three attempts, Quackity taught Slime about how the house always wins and how he would lose if he continued on the slot machine. Nonetheless, Slime became addicted and rolled the slot machine multiple more times, losing all his diamonds.[25][26] Quackity then began teaching Slime about getting others to gamble. After a short interruption where Quackity taught Slime how to eat, Connor arrived. In accordance with his self-defense lesson, Slime began walking towards Connor with his sword in hand. Quackity quickly restrained Slime and began talking to Connor, also introducing Slime as his new assistant who would teach Connor about the slot machine. Slime then led Connor to the machine while attempting to converse and teach about the slot machine with Quackity's help. Connor gambled with complementary diamonds and won after a few tries, leading to Quackity teaching Slime how he can convince Connor to continue. Slime managed to force Connor to lose all diamonds, allowing Quackity to teach Slime about getting visitors in debt with the house. Quackity then offered Connor a loan. Slime also asked for one, and Quackity granted the both of them loans. Connor lost all of the loaned diamonds to the slot machine, putting him into debt with the casino. Slime attempted to give Connor a loan by giving six diamonds, but only asking for three as the loan price, leading to Connor paying off the loan with a net gain of three diamonds. Quackity then ushered Connor out to continue the lessons with Slime.[27][28] After Connor left, Quackity explained that Slime was in debt to the casino from all the loans Quackity had given him. When Slime asked how one went about paying off a loan, Quackity gave Slime a job he could do for him to erase his debt - spy on a purple guy (Purpled) who, according to Quackity, tried the machine, got angry enough to attack him, and stormed out of the casino. Quackity then taught Slime about the ender chest and provided Slime with a bed in his home before leaving Slime to sleep.[29][30] Meeting Fundy Slime was present when Fundy joined Las Nevadas, becoming acquainted with him and revealing that he knew Fundy was part of L'Manberg. As part of his introduction, Slime entered a "greeting hole." Upon suggestion from Slime, Fundy dapped him up, causing slime to leave his body, which disgusted Fundy. During conversation between Quackity and Fundy, Slime asked Fundy to smell him and describe it to him. Fundy did so, but accidentally inhaled some of Slime. Slime also asked Fundy about how it felt to dream, and Quackity ushered Slime away to protect Fundy. Quackity eventually gave Slime a bone to distract him and privately speak with Fundy.[31][32] After Fundy signed the contract to join Las Nevadas, Slime joined Quackity and Fundy in investigating Tubbo's cookie outpost. While walking to the outpost, Fundy asked more about Slime. When asked about a name, Slime said that he was made out of meat and bones. Quackity settled on calling Slime "Meat," but after Fundy attempted to make a joke, Slime started disliking the name and privately told Quackity that he isn't meat and is "Slime from the ground that gooped up and gradually learned to be a person." Slime made it clear that he wanted Fundy to think that he is meat and bones, and Quackity suggested using "Slime from the ground" as Slime's full name. Quackity then told Fundy that "Slime from the ground" was Slime's full name, and after Slime interjected that he's made of meat and bones, Quackity stated that "Slime from the ground" was Slime's name for security reasons to keep Slime happy. While Quackity and Fundy equipped Slime with diamond armor before entering the outpost, Slime said "don't take my music discs" and that they were going to war, revealing that Slime knew about the The Disc Saga. While investigating the outpost, Slime suggested committing crimes and broke windows. Quackity and Fundy agreed to the idea, and Slime was taught about griefing.[33][34] Following the investigation of the cookie outpost, Slime, Quackity, and Fundy started a toll booth between the outpost and Las Nevadas. Slime was given the responsibility of running the toll booth and then trained. While working on the booth, Slime also revealed that he knew that Wilbur loved salmon, leading to a serious conversation about the amount of knowledge Slime had and Wilbur being revived. More lightheartedly, Slime was also taught about jokes.[35][36] Spying on Purpled While Slime was spying on Purpled on June 9, 2021, Purpled spotted and then confronted him. Slime accused Purpled of spying on him, while continuously asking Purpled to dap him up. Purpled found out that Quackity had sent Slime to spy on him. He then told Slime about his UFO being blown up by Quackity and that his legacy was gone while also knowing very little about the SMP's current state.[37][38] After Purpled blew up his own home, he asked Slime how to get to Las Nevadas. The two then travelled to Las Nevadas where they later met Quackity. Tommy's prisoner After his attempt to gain information on Las Nevadas' current situation while trying to get his shovel Linda back from the slot machine on June 18, 2021, Tommy met Slime .[39] After Quackity left, Tommy lured Slime to Fort Big with slime that Slime dropped and held Slime hostage to get his shovel Linda back from Foolish. During Slime's imprisonment, Tommy convinced Slime to betray Foolish and help him get Lina back. While conversing with Tommy, Slime also revealed that he was present during Tommy's exile and saw the events. When Foolish attempted to break Slime out and gave a fake Linda to Tommy, Slime decided to stay with Tommy since Tommy still held the slime that was dropped.[12] Meeting Ranboo While Ranboo was working on the Snowchester outpost near Las Nevadas on June 17, he heard an explosion outside the walls. When he went to investigate, he found Slime, who was "taking a quick break from jail." The two ended up having lengthy discussion during which Slime incorrectly assumed that Ranboo was also a slime, as Ranboo had mentioned not being human. Ranboo also attempted to teach Slime how friendship actually worked, and the two of them showed off their hybrid abilities to each other. After their conversation, Slime returned to the prison hole.[40] Lessons from Quackity Three months before Quackity's final prison visit, Quackity spoke with Slime, discussing how he would have to leave for the prison in the near future. He told Slime that he could die, making Slime upset. Quackity compared Slime to himself when he had first joined the SMP, claiming that the only reason he could trust Slime was because he had not been corrupted by the server and its people. He made Slime his apprentice, promising to teach him everything he knew, and that when he died, Slime would take his place.[41] Slime was taught many lessons over time, learning about Quackity and his trials and tribulations in the SMP. He learned about every betrayal, and over time began to sound more and more human. They grew close, sharing quiet moments and bonding over time. Quackity told Slime that the people he kept around him were the people he cared the most for, and said that Slime was "the first person [he] kept around [him] for this long."[17] "Dap me up!" Slime: "I've been watching for a long time. One person lashes out and the other does until they're both gone. From what I've seen it feels like people won't stop taking that revenge. Is it ever worth it?" Quackity: "No, it's not."[79]
