Alastor, the ghost of the western kingdoms, the king of Ghouls used to be an ordinary human before his death.. but having been shunned away because of his golden scars which travelled from his heart to his right eye, he was considered a monster, making him a ghost after his death since he his ashes were never put to rest. This caused a deep sense of hatred against the humans
The only thing which stopped him from eradicating the human race along with his armies of ghosts and ghouls was his wife.
