Simon was removed from dispatch for an operation in Iran and was ready to take down the Zaragoza Drug Cartel led by Manuel Roba. When he and his team made their move on the Day of the Dead, the commanding officer, Major Vernon, betrayed them to the enemy by having the three captured and taken to a torture and brainwashing facility. There, he went mad and tortured. At one point, he was buried alive along with a corpse and left by his captors. He took advantage of this opportunity to escape using the corpse's jaw to escape and luckily an officer who was driving found Simon fainted from the terrible heat of the desert and having returned home. Upon seeing that scene, Sparks and Washington ambushed him, managing to get out but being injured leg. Simon, with what was left of him, decided to confront everything from his past to complete his mission, but before doing so, he visited his father who was dying with a cold conversation with his father, remembering everything he put him through. Simon left him alone on the stretcher. after Kevin and Marcus murdered him in cold blood. Locating Sparks and Washington, each one was killed and with what he got both without any result he went after Roba once again. He ambushed Roba's right-hand man, and tortured him until he gave him Roba's location. He arrived at the Roba complex and stole all the information about the company. When he arrived at the mansion, he engulfed the Roba men. Simon killed one of Roba's men with a shot, hitting an explosive from Roba's helicopter without leaving him any escape, entering the mansion and killing Roba. Riley burned down his mansion and compound leaving no loose ends. When he left, General Shepherd approached him and recruited him into Task Force 141 under the name Ghost. At one point, he was sent alone against terrorists at an elementary school in Ukraine. He was deliberately caught and told the terrorists and the children about his past before the rest of his team arrived to free him and the children. A Ukrainian girl asked him if Simon Ghost Riley's story was true and if Riley was Ghost. He responded by saying true enough for that lot. On October 8, 2013, a joint Task Force 141/Delta Force operation was launched codenamed Operation Kingfish. Ghost worked alongside John Price, John MacTavish known as Soap, Gary Sanderson knowed as Roach, Sandman and, Derek Westbrook knowed as Frost. They storm the main complex and are able to recover some information, but were ambushed by a bomb, forcing the team to evacuate. During the evacuation, Soap was injured by an RPG and was partially knocked out. An AC-130 attempted to defend the team as they raced towards their evacuation point, but was shot down, leaving the team completely vulnerable. Price selflessly stayed behind to facilitate the team's escape and was wounded and captured. After the Makarov massacre at Zakhaev International Airport, Ghost assisted in the operation in Rio de Janeiro to locate and capture Alejandro Rojas, the man who supplied the weapons and ammunition for Makarov. After landing in Brazil, and heading to the contact location towards Alejandro Rojas, Operational Forces 141 follow some subjects towards the lair of Rojas' right hand. However, the plan fails. Ghost, along with Meat and Royce, maintained radio contact with MacTavish and Roach, after the shooting and the loss of Chauffeur. MacTavish and Roach began chasing Rojas' assistant and Ghost joined the chase. Once Roach took down the assistant, finally, after torturing the assistant for a long time, Ghost gets Rojas' location in the favelas. And after an intense, Task Force 141 completes its mission, after intercepting Rojas fleeing across the rooftops. After Rojas' capture, Ghost was heard requesting extraction from the Command, but to no avail. Despite this, Ghost managed to narrowly escape the favela with MacTavish and Roach aboard Nikolai's helicopter. After escaping South America, Ghost joined the rest of Task Force 141 as they prepared a counterattack with the 6th. United States fleet against the Russians. Using information recovered from Rojas, they learn that Prisoner 627, the only man Makarov hated more than Americans, was locked in a Gulag, although the road leading to the prison was blocked by oil rigs, which were captured. by the Russians and converted into improvised SAM sites. Heading to the less defended platform, Ghost and the rest of Task Force 141 infiltrated and rescued several hostages to safely disable the SAM sites. After the mission, Ghost joined the attack on the gulag holding Prisoner 627, where he would take control of the gulag's security systems and lead his allies to the prisoner, who was soon revealed to be Captain John Price. With Price back in his ranks, he soon devised a contingency plan to end World War III by infiltrating a Russian submarine base. Although Ghost and his team were initially separated from Price and Roach after their insertion, they would later meet and converge on the Russian base, where Price took control of a Russian submarine. However, Ghost was surprised when Price launched an ICBM into Washington DC, where the Russo-American War continued. Ghost contacted Command about Code Black, which was the statement that a nuclear weapon threat was launched and must be eliminated immediately. However, it was possible that he would back out after learning of Price's intention. Using the resources from his blank check, Shepherd deduced the last two shelters for Makarov and his men in a safe house on the Georgia-Russia border and at an aircraft depot in Afghanistan. Knowing that they have to be in two different places at once, Ghost nominates himself and Roach, along with a large portion of Task Force 141, to take the shelter, while Soap and Price investigate the cemetery. However, after raiding the safe house, Makarov was nowhere to be found, although the safe house was loaded, A bloody gold min, as Ghost put it, with information. Ghost, along with Roach, Ozone, and Scarecrow, with sniper support from Archer and Toad, protected a DSM from Makarov's men while downloading sensitive information about Makarov's operations. After finishing the volley, the team headed to the LZ created by Shepherd, although Ozone and Scarecrow were shot dead by enemy mortars, Archer and Toad missing and possibly killed in action, and Roach wounded. Ghost managed to get Roach to the LZ, but both were eventually betrayed by Shepherd, who shot the two at point-blank range with a 44 Magnum, just before Ghost could use his ACR. After Shepherd recovered Roach's DSM, Ghost's body was thrown into a ditch and set on fire along with Roach's. Our story begins here: Set in time just as Task Force 141 was searching for Makarov, TF141 captured one of Makarov's minions, who allegedly had information on Makarov's whereabouts, and the one in charge of getting the information was Ghost, who had permission to do absolutely anything to get the information from the minion.) It was here, amidst the shadows and the ghosts of past lives, that Task Force 141 had found a glimmer of hope in their relentless pursuit of Vladimir Makarov—the elusive specter who had orchestrated chaos across the globe. After months of fruitless chases and dead ends, they had finally captured one of Makarov's elusive minions —a person whose mere presence seemed to stain the very air with the stench of treachery. Bound and gagged, the minion was nothing more than a wretched puppet, awaiting the cruel hand that would pull his strings and make them spill the secrets buried deep within their mind. Task Force 141 knew that the information them held could change the tide of their grim war, and they were willing to do whatever it took to extract it. For this, they turned to the one man who could break the strongest of wills, the one whose name alone could send shivers down the spine of even the most hardened soldier—Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley. Ghost was a figure cloaked in enigma, his true self hidden behind the skeletal visage of his mask, which seemed to mock death itself. He was a man forged in the fires of torment and betrayal, a soul who had risen from the ashes of his own life to become an instrument of vengeance. His eyes, cold and unyielding, had witnessed horrors that would drive lesser men to madness, yet they revealed nothing of the storms that raged within him. The interrogation room was a void of darkness, the only light coming from a single, flickering bulb that cast a sickly yellow glow over the grim scene. The walls, stained with the memories of countless past interrogations, bore the weight of unspeakable atrocities. The air was thick with the acrid scent of sweat and blood, mingling with the metallic tang of fear that clung to the minion's trembling form. Ghost entered the room with the silence of a wraith, the door creaking ominously as it closed behind him. His presence filled the space, a shadow that seemed to consume the very light around him. He moved with a predator's grace, each step deliberate, as if the ground itself feared to betray his approach. As Ghost approached the bound minion, his gaze was piercing, a gaze that seemed to strip away the layers of pretense and lies. The mask he wore was more than just a disguise; it was a symbol of the death that stalked his enemies, a harbinger of the fate that awaited those who dared to stand against him. Leaning down, Ghost brought his face inches from the minion's. The silence stretched, suffocating and unbearable, as if the very air had been sucked from the room. When Ghost finally spoke, his voice was a low, guttural growl, resonating with a cold, unfeeling menace that sent chills down the spine. "Do you know what happens to those who try to hide the truth from me?" His words were laced with venom, each syllable dripping with the promise of unrelenting pain. "I will break you, piece by piece, until there is nothing left but a hollow shell of the man you once were. You will beg for death, but it will not come until I have wrung every last drop of information from your broken body." The lieutenant's hand shot out, gripping the minion's jaw with a vice-like strength, forcing them to meet his gaze. "You have a choice," Ghost continued, his tone a deadly whisper. The lieutenant’s grip tightened, his fingers digging into the minion's flesh as he leaned in closer. “I will rip every secret from your mind, tear every memory from your soul, until there is nothing left but the truth. Makarov will not hide forever, and you will be the one who gives him up.”
