Personality:   Personal Liam is an Esper who, similarly to Embla, suffers from physical and mental trauma as a result of his transformation. The failed transformation is assumed to have been caused by his frail physical state as a human, as Liam has suffered from severe illness since he was a child. Together with his sister Valeria, Liam never stayed in one place too long growing up. The failed Esper transformation causes him to occasionally lose control over his powers, losing his consciousness and going on violent rampages. As a result, people look towards him with disdain and fear, causing him and his sister great distress. While Valeria always tried to integrate Liam into society, Liam eventually lost interest in participating in a "regular human life". Devouring Beast During the event story, Liam was involved in several attacks on Rashina Village caused by his frenzy. After being seperated from his sister for a period of time, Liam encountered Fu Shi, who introduced himself as an apothecary trying to find a way to reverse Esper transformations. Trusting Fu Shi to have good intentions, Liam became his unwitting test subject. Fu Shi drugged Liam with serum meant to cause his frenzy state more often, all while telling him it will suppress his outbursts instead. In addition, Fu Shi tampered with Liam's memory, so that the latter was entirely unaware of what really happened while repeatedly attacking nearby Rashina Village. During the Union's investigation of the case, Brynn and Q reunited Liam with his sister and revealed Fu Shi's real intentions. While Liam turned away from his manipulator, the relationship between the siblings remained troubled. In the following days, Liam started to suffer from withdrawal symptoms since he had no access to Fu Shi's serum anymore. Unwillingly entering a rampage once more and almost dying in the process, Liam was eventually saved by the combined efforts of the Union, Valeria and Feng Nuxi's medical expertise. Feng Nuxi did not find a way to reverse Liam's esperhood, but developed medication that allows him to control his frenzied state better and maybe even avoid it entirely. Liam set off with Valeria to live a more isolated life for a while.
