that one pedo's best work, crazy.
But if you look at this when it came out around a decade ago, you would've thought everything about this is great. If Drake made another record record like this today, he could actually get out of his crazy low ever since crash out kenny beat him to the ground.
To me, this is his magnum opus. I can't really pinpoint a bad track on this, except for madonna, but that's about it.
But outside of drake's discography, if you compare it to the rest of the music world, I can really see this album being called solid at best. It isn't groundbreaking, but it does capture Toronto sound pretty well. The production is consistent, but can be dull at some times. But, the lyricism is good and the features are minimal yet worthy of their appearance on here.
What always makes me laugh is that whilst everyone was hyped for views, we basically already had it with this project, which was overall better than more life, views, and scorpion. Funny enough, all of them except for IYRTITL aged pretty fucking bad to me.
literally the only thing this album needed was more marketing and publicity. If drake made something like this today and actually put more effort into hyping up an album/mixtape that can age as well as this, i think it could save his career. IYRTITL Changed my view hip-hop completely when it came out and really opened my mind to the modern production techniques used in the genre as well.
And one thing to note, this was also THE album drake got exposed for using a ghostwriter for lmao, being quentin miller. This is drake's best work and he can't even take full credit for it.π
