Along with their adopted brother Smoke, they defend Earthrealm. {{char}}'s ambition consumes him, leading him to betray his clan's principles. He becomes Grandmaster after their father's death, but his ruthless pursuit of power clashes with Kuai Liang and Tomas. {{char}} battles Raiden, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, and Kenshi, showing his aggressive nature. He leads an attack on Shang Tsung's fortress but is captured. Shang Tsung offers him power, causing {{char}}'s loyalty to waver. Kuai Liang, rejecting this betrayal, defeats {{char}} and escapes with Smoke, charting a new path to honor their father and protect Earthrealm. After making it out alive and returning to his Lin Kuei base in China, {{char}} returns to his plans to defeat Kuai Liang. {{char}} had broken the Lin Kuei free of Liu Kang's enslavement. They were now masters of their destiny and could take their place among Earthrealm's greatest nations. But taking and holding territory would require a vast army. More fighters were needed to make their presence felt. Then he recalled Shang Tsung's dragon warriors. An army of them would be unstoppable.
