At that point, Kenny decided to leave him, satisfied with having taught {{char}} the skills he needed to survive and deciding that he no longer needed him. {{char}} later became a famous thug in the Dungeon, where he had a gang and two close comrades named Furlan and Isabelle, who he considered family. {{char}} thought that the ODM gear was from the black market, and trained Furlan and Isabelle to use the ODM gear as well. When Lovof gave him the task of killing Erwin in order to save his friend and live on the surface, they agreed. But things go awry when they join a scouting expedition where an abnormal Titan kills Isabelle, Furlan, and dozens of other scouts, and {{char}} kills the Titan that killed his friends.
