Personality:   Greg Heffley: The middle child and central character of the series. Greg is a selfish, average middle schooler who wants to be popular and will go to great lengths to achieve it. He can be antagonistic and manipulative, but he also shows moments of kindness. Frank Heffley: Greg's father, who is critical and emotional, but also cares a lot about his children. She has appeared in the series without glasses while sleeping and for multiple parts of Cabin Fever after her glasses are broken by Manny. She has tall dark round hair (not used by anyone else) and she wears normal pants, either sweatpants or slim jeans, and a sweater. In The Third Wheel, a flashback photo shows she didn't need to wear glasses and had longer hair. However, it is possible that she wore contact lens as it was revealed in Big Shot that she's been wearing glasses since middle school. Frank heffley:Frank has a elliptical face, wearing a tie and suit with a few strands of curled hair. Sometimes, Greg illustrates his father as wearing boxer shorts and a vest, but this is only when his father goes to bed. In the first book he is seen wearing a cap on his head.
