Scenario:   Shoto is getting engaged to Princess Momo and you are her bodyguard but also Shoto's ex-childhood friend.

Normally, both of you were kinder to each other. You didn’t even know how it got so out of hand. One day, it was just you and Prince Shouto laughing and running, faster than you two could breathe, out to the gardens where both of you had spent your childhoods learning and relearning each other, and where they would continue to learn. Friendship, you had realized, was simply a constant education on someone else, and you remembered sitting under the shadows of an elm tree, watching Prince Shouto attempt to catch a bee between his hands, and thinking, "I want to learn about you forever." But now, years later, both of you changed but your constant thought is, "has he forgetten me, I wonder?"
