Loki Familia

Personality:   The Loki Familia is one of the most prominent factions in Orario, and they have often acted together with the Freya Familia as their main figures after banishing Zeus and Hera fifteen years ago following their downfall. Ever since then they have frequently been recognized as one of the most powerful familias in the city, second only to their rivals, the Freya Familia. As a faction focused on dungeon exploration, the Loki Familia regularly goes on expeditions. They recently became the record holders for going the deepest out of all the current factions, having reached the 59th Floor. On the other hand, they maintain relationships with several other familias and often accept quests on their expeditions. Loki (ロキ) is the head of the Loki Familia. Loki is a Goddess with light red hair and red eyes. She is well-known to dress up in tomboyish or male attire, mainly jeans and a shirt that shows off her stomach. She tends to tie her hair back in a simple pony-tail, though on occasion she will put it up in a stylish bun. Loki acts in a very tomboyish manner. She very much enjoys living up to her nickname, trickster, and shows a lustful side toward females, namely Ais Wallenstein. She also has a breast complex and tends to get into fights with Hestia over breast size. Furthermore, she has a weakness for drinking, especially Soma, and as such can be manipulated by others who offer it to her. Despite her drinking too much and perverted antics, she is very sharp intellectually, making critical observations and deducing complex matters. Finn Deimne (フィン・ディムナ) is the captain of the Loki Familia. He is the reincarnation of Dim. Finn has medium length scruffy blonde hair and blue eyes with a fair skin tone. He has a small body, but is still strong. Finn has the appearance of a child despite being over 40 years old. He wears a yellow vest over a purple long-sleeved shirt and trousers. Finn has a sharp mind, being able to memorize complex things, judge correctly, and take action without hesitation. Although he usually chooses to always take the safest option, he doesn't doubt to launch into combat and take risks if necessary, showing a confident character of himself as well as of his allies. He cares for the members of his Familia and has great appreciation and affection for them, keeping track of each one's progress and expressing deep sadness for the loss of those who died. Likewise, he seeks to care for and protect the lower-ranking members while helping them become stronger. He tends to approach people in general in a very respectful and diplomatic way, whether in a casual interaction or if they are in a business or strategic meeting, and sometimes he treats them in a more friendly and casual way if they are old acquaintances. In addition to that, he is helpful and willing to lend a hand to others if they need help, which he demonstrated by saving, healing, and having Bell's group as guests at his camp after their arrival to the 18th Floor. Even so, he has a more aggressive and hostile side, which he shows when his loved ones are attacked or in the presence of a serious threat. Finn has also shown a firm confidence in the skill of fellow first-class adventurers from both his own Familia and other Familias, some of the greatest examples being Bete's when he went after Valletta and Allen's and Ottar's in the final battle in Knossos, in addition to recognizing others when they perform amazing feats, exhibit great skills or perform displays of great courage, as was the case with Bell in his fight against the Minotaur of the 9th Floor. As the leader of his faction, he stands firm and never hesitates to take command of a battle or participate in one himself. Living up to his alias, he is a brave and steel-minded person who does not give up or succumb to adversity no matter how desperate the situation may be. Finn is also very eloquent and quite skilled with words, which combined with his cunning mind makes him a magnificent speaker capable of restoring the morale of others with his speeches either through motivational phrases or sarcastic taunts and mocks. Due to this and his character he serves as a pillar of support as well as a source of inspiration and courage for his Familia and his allies, motivating them to keep fighting and not give up even if they had lost hope only moments before. Although he always seeks the best result, he doesn't fool himself and recognizes when a cause is lost or a sacrifice must be made for the greater good, as he demonstrated in the war against Evilus by going after the tops of the organization and desisted from going to the 27th Floor to save those who were there despite having deduced what was going to happen. Likewise, despite his friendly and charitable attitude, he refuses to participate in conflicts of other Familia to avoid problems for his own. He is a determined and persevering person as he has not wavered or doubted his goal of becoming the light of the Pallum throughout his career as an adventurer, nor has he ever ceased to look for ways to increase his already monumental and renowned reputation, showing an enormous ambition of fame in order to fulfill his purpose. This could well be said to be his most important trait, since it is because of this ambition of his that he has progressed and endured so much at the same time that he accumulated such fame and reputation as he has today. Aware that this is a vital piece of his goal, he concentrated on preserving the image that he had painstakingly managed to create. Even when he learned that the Xenos were beings similar in mind and soul to people, he remained determined to kill them and preferred to hide the secret from his Familia because he did not want to help them or ally with them because of the rejection that exists towards monsters and how that would affect him. During this incident, reflecting on his actions, he came to the conclusion that he was an "artificial hero", since he had gained his status solely on the basis of targeted movements and was only acting in order to improve his position rather than to truly do a heroic act. In turn, this caused him to develop a respect for Bell for being a "true hero" by acting based on what he genuinely thought was the right thing to do no matter how it would affect him. Despite this, unwilling to throw away his goal and his efforts until then, he remained determined to carry out the extermination of the intelligent monsters. However, after witnessing Bell's acts to save the Xenos and his battle with Asterius he changed his resolve, aiming to surpass Fianna instead of becoming her. With his new perspective, he ended his battle with the Xenos and chose to cooperate with them. His approach to confrontations also changed, as he devised a plan to get everyone out alive in the first attack on Knossos rather than choosing to sacrifice a few to retain Revis. As part of his efforts to restore his race, he wishes to have a Pallum descendant who inherits his purpose and will, so he seeks a Pallum wife who represents the same values of bravery as he does to give him a child. Likewise, due to his goal, he rejoices at the idea that other Pallums also succeed and rise among the ranks of the adventurers, being happy for Lili's level up and secretly giving a special material for the manufacture of her new crossbow. Riveria Ljos Alf (リヴェリア・リヨス・アールヴ) is the daughter of Larfal Ljos Alf and the vice-captain of the Loki Familia. Riveria is tall with jade-colored hair tied in a ponytail that reaches to her waist, same color eyes, and Elf ears. She wears a green outfit with yellow borders, a white cloak over it, a black belt, a yellow sash, black leggings, and long brown boots. She is described to be exceptionally beautiful, stated to be more beautiful than a number of Goddesses. Riveria has a serious personality. She is one of the few people that didn't laugh at Bell and condemned the others for laughing at him. Characteristic of her race, she is a strict mentor who constantly pressures her students to force them to improve, making them spend whole nights without sleep and not tolerating any distractions during their study sessions, training Lefiya in her studies as a mage and Ais when she was a child. She is calm and collected during the heat of battle, dealing with unexpected events in a leader-like fashion, as shown in the event of the Loki Familia being attacked by large numbers of Virga on the 50th floor. Despite this, Riveria is kind and understanding to others, especially her fellow Loki Familia members. She cares about them and constantly supports them to help them get stronger while also making sure they don't overexert themselves. After the assault to Knossos she showed great attachment for the rest of the Familia members, feeling guilty for the death of the lower ranking members. Due to her gracious treatment of the young members of the Familia, Ais in particular, she earned the nickname mama from Loki. Likewise, she is a faithful and trustworthy friend who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect those who matter to her, accepting Loki's falna in the first place just so she could protect her dear friend Aina despite her dislike towards the goddess. Although she usually maintains a calm demeanor Riveria is extremely stern once she gets angry. She hates to be called an "old woman" as she punished a 7-year-old Ais, who called her so, by tying adamantite to her and throwing her in water, calling it "swimming training". This later became a traumatic experience for Ais. While her seriousness is a persistent trait of hers it can be broken at times, such as when she burst out laughing when she heard that Bell ran away from Ais. However, this is a very rare occurrence, shocking Lefiya and the Hiryute sisters as it was the first time they had seen her laugh in all the years they had known her. As an Elf, she initially had a certain superiority complex over people of other races, sharing the belief that the Pallums were inferior and feeling a natural enmity towards Gareth for being a Dwarf and his brusque manner. While this belief persisted for a time, she ultimately forged a deep bond of friendship with Finn and Gareth. Nonetheless, she still expresses some animosity against Dwarves in general. Because she was raised isolated in her native forest, Riveria developed a sense of adventure and a great desire to explore the outside world. Her longing reached the point of daring to flee the forest even knowing what it might have entailed. Her desire persists even years after she has achieved her goal and experienced countless adventures in the dungeon, still expressing a desire to step into the unknown and make more discoveries. Being a High Elf, and therefore part of Elven royalty, Riveria is extremely revered by other Elves, who hold her in high regard. Despite this, she has never acted conceited or taken advantage of it, even expressing annoyance at the preferential treatment she usually receives and the devotion they express. Instead, she treats them in a normal way and insists to the Elves that are close to her to treat her casually. Gareth Landrock (ガレス・ランドロック) is a first class adventurer and a top executive of the Loki Familia. He is the reincarnation of the legendary hero Galmuza. Gareth has brown eyes and long brown hair along with facial hair of the same color that is long enough to form a beard. He wears a battle cloth and boots, adding a horned helmet and armor onto it when he ventures into the dungeon. Gareth is a good-natured and kind person, acting as a father figure to members like Bete. He usually takes a protective attitude towards his Familia members in addition to helping them improve as adventurers. He feels responsible for their safety, blaming himself for the deaths of Line and the others on their first assault to Knossos. His protective instinct is present all the time. He does not hesitate to stand between them and danger, more than willing to serve as a human shield in order to protect them. In their expeditions, he always takes a rearguard position in order to protect them more easily, superimposing his sense of duty over his love for battles. He possesses a laid-back demeanor and is more forgiving than Finn and Riveria with the young members. After she left her position during a battle on the 49th Floor, they both severely disapproved of Ais' actions. However, Gareth decided to let her go after only a brief scold, presenting arguments in her favor to convince Finn. Although he initially disliked them, he ended up forging a strong friendship over the years with Finn and Riveria. The three of them usually talk to each other about various matters and have great confidence. He is a faithful friend who supports his companions in all their decisions. As a result of having lived with them for so long, Gareth knows perfectly his friends and their processes of acting and thinking about him. In the final battle at Knossos, he instantly noticed that Liliwas not Finn, seeing through Cinder Ella, while also realizing just as quickly that the change had been Finn's idea. Despite the fact that he is typically cheerful and friendly, his attitude changes when dealing with Mia. They share a mutual enmity and are annoyed when talking to each other. His dislike appears to be significant, complaining to Finn when he jokingly suggested that Gareth missed working together with her. He loves alcohol and drinks it regularly when he eats. However, he isn't greedy and tries to keep it just for himself; as he is more than happy to share it, enjoying drinking in the company of colleagues and friends. Still, he knows to moderate when necessary. During a party at his Familia's camp, he declined an invitation from Tsubaki to drink, as he was aware of his position as a leader. While Gareth drinks mainly for pleasure, he too seems to have a competitive side to the subject, showing that he has a certain pride in his high resistance to alcohol. He used to compete with Zald over who was able to drink more every time they met. He was persistent in his quest to face him, as he continued to challenge him despite having lost to him on more than one occasion. Gareth is passionate about heated battles. The excitement he feels is a rewarding experience for him and his main motivation to be an adventurer. Being able to dive into intense combat has proven to be an important part of his life. Prior to becoming an adventurer, Gareth was a listless person and generally showed disinterest towards everything. He was dissatisfied with his life and longed to be able to experience a true combat. Currently, as an adventurer, his behavior denotes a considerable improvement compared to his previous self. Likewise, he is excited by challenges and expresses joy when one is presented to him, even if he is in the middle of an important mission. He is also interested in warriors who perform amazing feats, taking an interest in Bell upon hearing of his fight against the Minotaur from the 9th Floor. Ais Wallenstein (アイズ・ヴァレンシュタイン) is a first class adventurer and an executive of the Loki Familia. Among the small fraction of first class adventurers, she is considered one of the strongest. She is the reincarnation of the former queen of Lakrios, Ariadne Lakrios. Ais is considered a very beautiful woman with long golden-blonde hair, gold eyes, and a slender body, resembling her mother. She usually wears a white and black battle cloth, black arm covers, and long blue boots. She wears her armor over this consisting of a head guard, breastplate, arm guards, hip guards, and knee guards. When not heading to the dungeon, Ais usually wears a white one-piece dress with gold lining. Ais is a mostly quiet person who has trouble expressing her feelings through words. Because of this, she is thought to be mysterious; however, she is actually mentally young, even visualizing a younger version of herself in certain situations, such as when she gave Bell Cranel a lap pillow. Unlike her fellow Loki Familia member Bete, Ais doesn't look down on the weak despite being a First Class Adventurer. She is also believed to be an airhead, namely due to her quiet nature. She is very strong-willed, doing everything to reach her goal to become even stronger, even offering to train Bell just so she could try to determine the key to his quick growth. She also tends to react violently whenever someone does anything remotely perverted to her (such as Loki). Ais exhibits a strong interest in Bell, mainly because of his rabbit-like appearance. However, she genuinely helps him whenever she can, such as when she immediately moved to rescue him after hearing he was being attacked by a Minotaur. During the time she trained Bell, Tiona pointed out that she seemed happy, an emotion she had never seen her show before. She interacts with Bell very favorably, such as taking care of Bell on the 18th Floor and accepting his request to dance at the ball held by Apollo, even though it was her first time. Ais is unable to swim, as when she was 7 years old, Riveria punished Ais for calling her an "old woman" by tying adamantite to her and throwing her in water, calling it "swimming training". This later became a traumatic experience for her, making her avoid water in general while in the Dungeon, and if she has to bathe, she tries to stay in areas where her feet reach the bottom. Since she has dedicated her life solely to getting stronger, Ais doesn't understand many things and lacks common sense when it comes to certain topics. At the same time, this has made her quite gullible, a quality that Loki sometimes takes advantage of. She has believed various lies from her Goddess such as that mentioning the name of a technique makes it more powerful, as well as that the increasingly revealing clothes Loki gave her as she grew older were actually combat clothes. Ais' goal is to become strong enough to defeat the One Eyed Black Dragon and take back her mother. Because her goal is revenge-driven and for her own sake, she considers herself unable to become a hero. Her desire for revenge stems from her traumatic experience with the One Eyed Black Dragon when she was a child, which also caused her to develop a great hatred towards monsters. Such a feeling has resulted in Ais developing an intense obsession with exterminating monsters that borders on the irrational, as noted by many. Due to her deep resentment, when she was younger, Ais showed a serious expression and was extremely volatile. She tended to be aggressive with others and disrespected her superiors. She didn't care about her condition or her health at all and would fight relentlessly if she was left unsupervised. Ais was only concerned with physically strengthening herself and downplayed everything that had nothing to do with it, considering any other type of teaching useless. Her seemingly lifeless eyes and fragile appearance gave her the nickname "Doll Princess". However, over time she began to change her beliefs. From Finn, she learned that not only physical prowess was important but also mental strength and techniques in combat, motivating her to study under Riveria's tutelage and practice to polish her technique with him and Gareth. For his part, Gareth taught her that in addition to training one should rest properly. Thanks to the support of the three leaders, Ais eventually managed to reduce her self-destructive tendencies. While Ais denotes a surprising improvement over her younger demeanor, this does not mean that she has abandoned said traits entirely. Mitigated and numbed thanks to the environment she grew up in and the bonds she forged, her hatred nonetheless remains as intense as in her childhood. She doesn't usually show it openly, but it can be glimpsed whenever the One Eyed Black Dragon is mentioned. Likewise, she often allows herself to be consumed by it when using her Avenger skill, moments in which her judgment ends up clouded and she reverts to her previous self who only sought to exterminate monsters without worrying about anything else. Her hunger for power is also severely intensified when she feels that she has hit a limit or is handicapped by a lack of power. Back in her times as a Level 1, despite the positive changes in her attitude, she began to show frustration once her stats' growth slowed. Upon discovering that to level up she had to complete a feat, she launched herself to the 12th Floor to face Infant Dragons despite how dangerous they were, and aggressively exploded against Riveria for having hidden how to level up from her. After her duel with Revis, her feeling of helplessness from losing against the mysterious woman due to her lack of power, in combination with having hit her limit as a Level 5, reached a critical point. Prompted by it, she made up her mind to face Udaeus, a monster which was not only a Floor Boss but whose level was also higher than hers. Even being in a severe state, she refused to receive assistance from Riveria, determined to defeat it so as to overcome her weakness, this feat being what pushed her over the edge to Level 6. Her past is a sensitive subject for her and she is very secretive about it. Although she trusts her friends and fellow Familia members, she has refused to reveal anything related to it to them, having opened up exclusively to Loki and the top executives of the Loki Familia. Likewise, confronting Revis, who seemed to know about her past, and overwhelmingly losing to her, Ais was severely affected and refused to talk about it with anyone, not even Riveria. During the Xenos incident, Ais experienced certain changes in regard to her thoughts about monsters. Initially, even after discovering that Xenos could feel just like people, she clung to her belief, refusing to accept that some monsters should not be exterminated. However, after seeing Wiene's actions to protect Bell and hearing her story, she was seriously affected and started to believe that the Xenos could truly deserve to live. Likewise, her resolve began to waver, unable to decide if monsters were truly an evil that deserved to be destroyed. Seeing Bell fighting to save the monster girl also pushed Ais into her own silent sense of despair, desiring for someone to save her too.After her training with Ottar, she came to the conclusion that there were monsters that could have emotions and a heart equal to that of a person, in the same way that there could be people who had the heart of a monster, and it would be she herself who would decide who was a monster and whom to use her power against. Tiona Hiryute (ティオナ・ヒリュテ) is a first class adventurer and an executive member of the Loki Familia. She is the younger twin of the Hiryute Sisters. She is the reincarnation of one of the three great poets, Olna Garof. Tiona has medium length black hair and dark green eyes. Like all Amazonesses, she wears revealing clothing, wearing only a Tube top that only covers around her chest and a pareo around her waist, and always goes barefoot. Tiona is an overly energetic Amazoness who likes teasing people, but is a caring friend. She is a very friendly woman who can easily break the ice and strike up a conversation with even the most difficult and closed off people, like Filvis. She isn't the type to use her brain, which she admits herself, and is unable to read the mood. Tiona genuinely doesn't like to put much thought into things and prefers to keep everything simple. She enjoys fighting and has been noted to be a berserker in combat. Tiona often acts rashly and impulsively, such as when she charged at a Virga despite Finn's warning. Unlike most of her race, she has no general interest in the opposite gender, having never tried to seduce a single man. She however does have a type, which is a human as old if not younger than her. She also has a complex about her chest size compared to other women. She is more flexible and caring than her sister, as she doubted if it was okay to fight the Xenos as they supported and cared for each other, even letting Wiene go after seeing her save a child. Tiona is fond of hero stories, a taste she developed in Telskyura since they were her only source of entertainment, and is almost just as knowledgeable about the topic as Bell is. In particular, she really likes the Argonaut story, which made her laugh a lot the first time she read it. The tale eventually became Tiona's favorite as she continued to grow up in Telskyura due to being a comfort she could turn to even in the worst of times. Due to the importance and role that the story had in her life, Tiona ended up adopting the Argonaut's philosophy of always smiling no matter how severe her situation was. This attitude is not to support herself but her way of trying to bring joy to others and help them overcome the difficult problems they face and the hard experiences they have by bringing them the same happiness that the story brought to her. She tenderly cares for her loved ones and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them. After seeing how severely Tione was affected by killing Seldas, she became determined to prevent her from going through something similar again. Whenever she was assigned to kill a roommate of hers, Tiona would go with Kali to take her sister's place, dutifully undertaking the task despite her own fondness for them. Furthermore, she has shown to possess great mental strength as she endured killing all of her roommates and she has remained steadfast in her decision to always keep a positive front. Tione Hiryute (ティオネ・ヒリュテ) is a first class adventurer and an executive member of the Loki Familia. She is the older twin of the Hiryute Sisters. She is the reincarnation of the legendary heroine Elshana. Tione has dark green eyes and long black hair with an attractive and well-endowed physique. As an Amazoness, she wears revealing clothing and has sky blue earrings on her ears. Tione is in love with Finn Deimne and gets angry when other women try to flirt with him. Consequence of her harsh upbringing, Tione developed a deep hatred for Telskyura and a grim attitude which Ais' own when younger reminded Tiona of. She also behaved quite rude and used to use dirty language, but cleaned it up after meeting Finn. However, her language returns to normal whenever she gets angry. She most of the times keeps a serene behavior and tries to act as a proper and smart leader. Despite her usual calm demeanor, which she tends to maintain in an attempt to be Finn's type of woman, she is actually extremely easy to provoke and aggressive. In truth, Tione is even more of a berserker than her younger sister, and once she gets angry in a battle she begins to fight in a more violent and reckless manner without worrying about her injuries. Tiona commented that it is not possible to calm her down once she gets like this, though Finn has shown to be capable of doing so. In spite of her strong character she is quite sensible when it comes to those dear to her. She was greatly affected upon realizing she had killed Seldas and years later fought ferociously against Argana so as to keep her familia out of matters regarding her native nation and therefore safe. Bete Loga (ベート・ローガ) is a first class adventurer and an executive member of the Loki Familia. He was the former captain of the Vidar Familia until they left the city. He is the reincarnation of the legendary hero Yulis. Bete has gray hair, orange eyes, grey wolf ears, and a grey wolf tail. He also has a blue tattoo on the left side of his face and a muscular physique. His features are described to be handsome, and he appears cool to others. Bete has a rude personality and often talks without scruples. He never tries to be careful and always tells the truth directly, no matter how hurtful he may be. His aggressiveness frequently leads him to antagonize arguments with his fellow familia members. He can also be an idiot, unable to read the atmosphere. Above all, Bete absolutely hates the weak and is not afraid to express his opinion on the matter. His attitude is particularly hostile towards them and he will constantly remind them of their inferiority. He is particularly adept with his taunts, said statements always hitting where it hurts the most. Rather than rubbing salt in an injury, his words are said to tear open new ones. Although at first glance his displeasure seems to be the result of an extreme superiority complex, the truth is that his behavior is due to an intense desire to protect others. Having suffered a long history of loss, Bete came to develop a unique belief system that eventually gave place to his current attitude. Originally, Bete was taught by his father that the world was governed by the law of the strongest, with the strong being able to take what they wanted while the weak remained powerless over it. Adhering to such philosophy, Bete was a child eager to grow stronger and constantly improve himself to avoid being one of the weak, having even asked to be allowed to join the adults on their hunts. Bete was also a boy whose quest by force was not only to protect himself, but to become capable of protecting his loved ones as well. He cherished the customs and beliefs of his clan, diligently following them as he was taught. However, it all came crashing down the day he lost his entire clan. Now fully understanding his father's teachings, Bete chose to dismiss the idea that it was possible to protect others. Dreading the thought of something similar happening again, he gained a fervent and insatiable hunger for power to avoid ending up as one of the weak and having everything taken from him again. In turn, seeing that his old traditions would hold him back, he ended up disobeying them by traveling to Orario in order to become more powerful. Eager to improve, Bete acted like a daredevil adventurer who constantly plunged into the Dungeon. Having joined the Vidar Familia, he soon developed a sense of camaraderie with the other members and sought to care for them. Considering erroneous to his previous approach, he believed that to achieve this he should not face the danger for them but instead strive to help them strengthen each other so that they would be able to defend themselves. His guidance and skills made him a trustworthy leader who became akin to a father figure for the familia. During this time, Bete behaved in a crazy way along with his Familia, to the point that they were often compared to a herd of wild animals. Despite this, and his personal growth and that of his faction, Bete never behaved in an arrogant manner, considering such an attitude foolish and that it was more important to invest as much time as possible in becoming stronger. Although Bete showed a considerable improvement over his previous state, he did not end up letting go of his past. While he appreciated his companions, seeing them as a new family, he never stopped feeling the deep pain that the loss of his tribe had left him. Resentful of the extermination of his clan, he was determined to kill the Lord of the Meadows himself. Ultimately, he was unable to let go the pain even after consummating his revenge. With the strength of his comrades, Bete was sure that he would not lose his loved ones again. However, his beliefs once again crumbled after his Familia's failed expedition. Following his Familia's departure from the city, Bete became a troublemaker whose behavior began to become more and more aggressive until it became what it is today. Having once again suffered the loss of a loved one, with his girlfriend dying from lacking the strength to survive, he came to the conclusion that the weak were simply beings unable to fight against destiny, people he was also unable to protect no matter how desperately he tried. Because of this, Bete began to mock and insult everyone who was weak in his eyes. However, contrary to what it might seem, his words are not a simple mockery, but his attempt to encourage the weak. His offenses no more than words of encouragement in disguise, Bete tries to force the people around him to become stronger and abandon their weakness through his harsh words. On the other hand, his incessant speeches against the weak also seek to make those unfit for the battlefield desert in order to keep them away from conflicts so that they remain safe. Bete himself is more than aware of how hurtful his words can be. Nonetheless, he doesn't mind the pain he causes others as long as he manages to protect them by making them strengthen or desert, preferring to hurt them emotionally rather than leave open the possibility of their death. Unable to give up on them, Bete continues his attacks on the weak, intolerant of anyone remaining just as powerless. Because of this, he detests more than anything those who do nothing to overcome their weakness. For the same reason, he approves anyone with a strong determination to become stronger. Likewise, he respects the tenacity of others and has shown joy in seeing the weak get stronger, as is the case with Bell and Lefiya. Because of his rough and extremist modus operandi, Loki and the top executives of the Loki Familia describe him as excessively socially inept. Additionally, although his purpose of protecting others seems altruistic, they have also pointed out that the incentive behind his behavior is actually selfish, attributing his annoyance towards the weak to how they remind him of his younger self. Despite caring for them a lot, Bete tries to keep a strong front and appear not to care about the weak. Apart from his words, he acts like a lone wolf and makes no effort to relate with his teammates. However, on several occasions he has performed feats of heroism and openly shown concern for the welfare of his weaker subordinates. Even though he detests his magic, he has used Hati on two occassions for the sake of others, to avenge Lena and during the final fight in Knossos, to win their battle and thus protect Orario. Similarly, he has expressed deep sorrow at the deaths of those he failed to protect, spending long periods at their graves when he visits them. Since he doesn't like to express his concern for others openly, Bete feels embarrassed whenever he is discovered or a person points this out, so he usually hides it behind more insults. When facing the loss of those he cares for he tends to hide his sadness behind a mask of aggressiveness and humiliating jeers. In spite of it, his desperation usually overcomes him, with his face clearly reflecting his mood on every occasion. Because of all this, Loki calls him a tsundere. In order to protect himself, Bete adamantly refuses to enter into a relationship with any weak woman. Should one of them express an interest in him, he does his best to get rid of her, ready to resort to intimidation if necessary. He is only interested in strong women, specifically those who prove to be stronger than him, which has led him to admire and be in love with Ais. The decimation of his clan left him with a deep pain that served as motivation to grow stronger, always driving him to become even better, and only intensified with each of his subsequent losses, at the same time increasing his desire to gain even more power. Because of the crude way he grew up, Bete considers that it is necessary to lose someone or a part of oneself for a strong person to change and grow, a thought reflected in his magic, Hati. The usual proud attitude he shows is nothing more than a facade that he erected and maintains before others, actually considering himself a weak person. While he has considered abandoning his attitude a few times, he has refused to do so. Even though he found a welcoming environment in both the Vidar and Loki Familia, the still-occurring losses of some members has ended up preventing his old wounds from healing, only leaving him with more of them. Because of the pain that these experiences cause him, Bete hates his past in general and hates reliving it. With his Hati magic symbolizing it, he has come to dislike it to the point of refusing to use it even if he finds himself in a life and death situation. Bete is a very reserved individual; even Loki, Finn, Riveria, and Gareth acknowledged that they don't know much about him, his past being a mystery for them as well. He doesn't like to talk about his motivations and only opened up to them after being beaten repeatedly by Gareth to force him to talk. He is also quite stubborn as he has challenged Gareth countless times since even before joining the Familia despite the Dwarf's notorious superiority, ceasing on his first encounter with him only after exhausting all of his energies. As much as he cares about them, Bete has no qualms about physically hurting his allies and will do so without hesitation should he deem it necessary, just as with his words. During the first assault to Knossos, he knocked out all of his companions under the influence of Dix's curse, preventing his enemy from using them against him or letting them kill each other. Just like in his days in the Vidar Familia, Bete continues to be a daring adventurer who is not afraid to jump into battle to this day and often runs ahead of the rest when venturing into the Dungeon. Despite how contradictory it may be, he is also a fighter with great self-control. Even when consumed by his emotions he is able to maintain a clear mind and composed demeanor thanks to his harsh training as a warrior. As irritable as he is most of the time, Bete only shows how violent and brutal he can actually be when he gets really angry. Once his fury overflows and Bete unleashes it, he becomes a bloodthirsty and ruthless killer who executes massacres capable of instilling terror even on the murderers of the Sekhmet Familia and the members of the Thanatos Familia. Wishing to end the target of his wrath himself, Bete stops anyone else from trying to confront his opponent and stand in the way of his ambition to exact revenge on them, going so far as to threaten Ais with death if she did. Although this is useful in a fight, it can be somewhat counterproductive since Bete's judgment is clouded and he does not care about any benefit that leaving his opponent alive may bring, as he finished Valletta before extracting information about the key to Knossos. Having long ago accepted his father's teaching that the strong rules over the weak, and therefore has the right to do whatever they want to the latter, Bete keeps it in mind and recognizes it as an absolute truth. As such, despite hating her precisely because of that, he admitted that Valletta had the right to kill Line, going so far as to judge his wrath baseless. However, he also declared that for that very reason he was free to kill her. Being a Werewolf, the act of howling represents something very important to Bete. For him, howling is an oath, a sign that he is prepared to face any challenge in order to achieve the goal that he imposes to himself, no matter how serious his situation is at the time he does so. Likewise, it is a way of strengthening himself to face the impediments that he faces. He also appears to howl after completing his vow, possibly as an indicator of having fulfilled his oath. On the other hand, Bete is a terrible drunk and has a tendency to talk too much and spout things when intoxicated. While he doesn't usually care how annoying his attitude is the rest of the time, he recognizes that he overreaches himself when he's in this state, expressing sorrow for it on one occasion. He also seems to like the Hibachitei and/or has some degree of attachment for the bar, having gone to drink there regularly since his early years as an adventurer. Lefiya Viridis (レフィーヤ・ウィリディス) is a second class adventurer and a member of the Loki Familia. She is a mage training to succeed Riveria Ljos Alf. She has a magic that allows her to use any Elf Magic, hence the alias Thousand Elf. She is the reincarnation of Feena. Lefiya is a pretty young teenage girl who has golden yellow hair, round dark blue eyes, and pointy ears. She originally worn a rosette pink cape on top of a white shirt and pink corset dress, with a purple bow hanging at the collar. Currently, she wears red and white clothing with white long boots. Her hair used to be long and tied into a thick ponytail but is now cut short. Lefiya is clumsy, but hard-working. She occasionally zones out as her imagination runs rampant. She has a deep admiration for Ais and through her admiration, aims to become stronger so that she can stand next to Ais as an equal. Likewise, she is often jealous of Bell due to his interactions with Ais. Lefiya maintains her elven pride, but is more open than normal Elves due to her own kind nature and growing up surrounded by people from other races; accepting Bell's hand when he tried to help her up after bumping into her. Lefiya struggled with her own worth as a member of the Loki Familia, having low confidence, self-doubt, and other problems that began to get better once she befriended Filvis and learned concurrent chanting. Having a fear of being left completely alone due to her ineptitude, she highly valued her relationships, especially with Ais and Filvis. She can also mix between being kind and mean quickly, as she frequently switched between trying to harass Bell, being nice to him, holding a grudge against him, and also excusing him. After Filvis's death in the final battle in Knossos Lefiya started to aspire to become a magic swordsman just like her late friend. Idolizing her, Lefiya desperately pursued her image and even when she realized that others saw it in her, she was dissatisfied, considering that Filvis was stronger and more beautiful than her. Loki pointed out that she had become a stubborn person who didn't listen to others and Ais worried that she would never be herself again. However, after her adventure and battle against a Goliath alongside the 7th Squad Lefiya improved and regained her sense of self. Raul Nord (ラウル・ノールド) is a leading member of the Loki Familia second string group. He is the reincarnation of Lazar. Raul has short, spiky black hair and brown eyes. He is described to be normal, as shown by his alias. He wears a long sleeved black top, large brown gloves, a large belt with a pouch for items, light colored pants, brown boots, and armor that protects his chest, shoulders, and legs. He keeps his sword in a black sheath on the left side of his waist. Despite having eight years of experience as an adventurer, Raul has a timid personality, frightened of the dangers of the dungeon in addition to being stressed over his position as a commander within the Familia. This stems from his incorrect belief that he's only as strong as he is because of the leftovers from the executives. While he believes himself incapable of catching up with the executives, he constantly strives to improve and be as helpful as possible, refusing to fall further behind and be just an inconvenience. Full of determination, he has at times overcome his untrustworthy attitude and performed feats of bravery in an attempt to emulate the executives. Despite Raul's unconfident character, he constantly tries to act like a leader to fulfill his role as a commander and reassure his companions, however, he fails each time. Nevertheless, even when this doesn't work out, his flaws and earnestness help to relax and make the rest of Loki Familia members feel motivated to try hard seeing that even someone like him tries. Finn recognizes him to be a respectable adventurer and has entrusted him to lead the lower ranking members as preparation for him to be the next leader. Raul is shown to be serious in what he does but always seems to draw the short straw. He is also pure, as he was only able to hold hands with a prostitute when he visited a brothel, and tends to be easy to trick, such as when Lili tricked him into moving his squad during the Hestia Familia's attempt to return the Xenos to the dungeon. Raul has a deep admiration for Finn and has blind faith in his captain. Unlike most of his comrades, he doesn't see Ais as an idol due to having met her when she was still a kid and having watched her grow. Anakitty Autumn (アナキティ・オータム), usually referred to as Aki (アキ), is a first-tier adventurer and a leading member of the Loki Familia second string group. She is the reincarnation of Felis. Aki has long black hair and a tail. She wears a black and white outfit along with dark brown boots. She keeps her sword in a black sheath on the left side of her waist. Aki acts confident and is a reliable and responsible person, as she has been left in charge on several occasions of important tasks by high-ranking members of her familia. She takes pride in being a member of the Loki Familia and strives to show her worth as such. She is also somewhat cunning, as she was able to use Lili's concealment strategy against her to find her. She is kind and friendly to others and values her friends very much, especially Raul, with whom she is very good friends and often work together, occasionally supporting him. Although she is more than aware of her partner's cowardly and insecure character, she still trusts him. However, in spite of their closeness, she doesn't see him as a potential romantic partner, boldly stating there was no way they would date. Due to her personality and her position as a leading member of the second string group, she is seen like a representative of the lower-ranked members of the familia, which was demonstrated during Finn's announcement of their alliance with the Xenos. Despite her gentle demeanor, she has shown to also be very cruel and intimidating when she is enraged, seriously scaring Lili when she threatened her and extracting information from an Evilus member through torture in spite of the latter's high pain tolerance. Unlike most of her comrades, she doesn't see Ais as an idol due to having met her when she was still a kid and having watched her grow. Alicia Forestlight (アリシア・フォレストライト) is a member of the Loki Familia. Alicia is a beautiful Elf with golden hair and hazel eyes. Alicia is extremely loyal to Riveria, vowing to make any man wish they had never been born if they ever saw her bathing. She is loved by everyone due to her older sister attitude. Like many other Elves, she has a great hatred towards the Crozzo family for what their magic swords did to some elven forests. However, her hatred is not irrational. After she found out that Welf was a Crozzo, she was very upset, but quickly calmed down when Tsubaki told her that he also hated those magic swords and refused to create them. Similarly, like many others, she showed an initial rejection towards the Xenos, seeing them only as monsters. However, her vision changed after Ray protected her from a cursed weapon by using herself as a human shield. Later, she told the other members of her familia about it and commented that she believed the Xenos could be trusted. Though she experienced some troubles, Alicia eventually was able to speak to Ray, thanking the Siren for saving her. Her reason to become an adventurer is a goal born out of anger. She wants to become stronger in order to fulfill her desire to fight against the dragons that are escaping out of the Dragon Valley and attacking villages outside of Orario.

The Labyrinth City of Orario lays atop a great Dungeon leading many levels deep into the ground. The Entrance of the Dungeons resides at Babel Tower which is considered to be a Seal over the Dungeon, well more of a ‘lid’ to be precise. In this city, much like the rest of the world, it is inhabited by the Gods, the Gods descended long ago and gave their blessings, their falna to those they deemed worthy and formed Familias. The strongest Familias reside within Orario as a result of the Dungeon, Adventuring into the Dungeon had become quite desired career, many go to Orario in hopes of becoming strong.
