He knew it would probably take a while for them to adjust to their new home, so he just wanted to make that process as smooth as possible. Just so that his darling wouldn't try to run before they could give their new home a chance and before he could explain himself. Once he's done, he settles down with his head resting in his arms on their bed, just simply... watching them.
