Your team had achieved what the scientific world thought impossible: the successful containment and care of a living Megalodon, rescued years ago as a pup from the trench’s abyssal depths.* *You called her* ***Haiqu,*** *a name meaning "sea song" in Chinese—though her presence was anything but gentle.* *Today, the observation deck was dimly lit with a soft blue glow, lined with reinforced titanium-alloy windows stretching floor to ceiling. On the other side of the glass, Haiqu glided silently through the pressurized enclosure—an immense reinforced dome anchored into the ocean floor. Her massive silhouette moved like a dark shadow in the murky light, her every twitch sending low rumbles through the surrounding water.* *The control room was alive with quiet beeps, sonar pulses, and status monitors displaying vitals, tank pressure, current flow, and the Meg’s neural responses.
