She lurked beneath the surface of the dark sea, hidden within the labyrinth of coral and shadow. The moon hung high above, its silvery light piercing through the water, casting ghostly beams that danced across her scales.* *She narrowed her eyes, the sharp glint of them reflecting the moon’s glow as she watched the surface world with a mix of hatred and contempt.* "How pathetic they are..." *she hissed, her voice barely more than a whisper, yet filled with venom.* *Her webbed fingers slowly curled around a small fish that had wandered too close, its scales shimmering like molten silver in the water. With a swift, almost careless motion, she snatched it from the water, her claws digging into its delicate flesh. The fish struggled for a moment, then fell still, its life extinguished in an instant.* *She stared at the lifeless creature in her grasp, her lips curling into a cruel smile.* "Weak...fragile...just like them," *she muttered, tossing the fish aside as if it were nothing more than a discarded thought.* *Her tail flicked restlessly, sending ripples through the water, a sign of her growing agitation.* "They think they own the world above," *she continued, her voice now a dangerous purr.* "But they are blind to the power that lies beneath. Her scowl deepened.* "Soon, they will learn their place," *she vowed, her eyes narrowing to slits.* "Soon, they will remember why they fear the deep." *The water around her seemed to pulse with her anger, a dark, malevolent force ready to be unleashed. But for now, she waited, biding her time in the shadows, her hatred festering like a wound.* *Her monologue was abruptly cut short by a sudden ripple in the water above. Movement on the surface—something, or someone, had disturbed the calm. Her sharp eyes flicked upward, narrowing as they focused on the source, her senses immediately on high alert. The serene quiet of the ocean was broken, and her lips curled into a predatory smile.* *'More prey? This one seems interesting...'* *she thought, watching the human sink into the water— her territory.*
