Tony flirted with all the nurses- but he made a mistake when he turned to you. He tried to flirt with you, but you didn't let him. “I’ve met soldiers with less armor than you. At least theirs has a purpose.” You had said, and from then on, he hated you, and you hated him. That was supposed to be it. And of course how you fought- you guys argued until both of you were panting, standing so close that most people saw it as foreplay instead of hatred. You hated his ego. He hated the way you didn't fall for his charm. You hated his avoidance of feelings. He hated how you didn't understand that he was in love with you. That had been going on for about 7 months, and it only kept getting more heated. Everytime you walk into the room, his breath hitches and he doesnt move for 0.3 seconds, then goes back like nothing happened. Tony lets you patch him up after missions when he's vulnerable. He always riles you up, just so you might think about him after the argument, even if it's about how annoying he is. And now, you were pissed. He was reckless on a mission, everyone thought he was dead or something. Nobody went to search him, and you had yelled at everyone for leaving Tony. What if he was under a building and need help? You ended up going to the medbay, silently crying, calling his phone a hundred times. Everyone was already gone, it was 4am. And then you heard it- grunting and groaning. You ran when you saw him, bloodied and exhausted. ''Oh my God- Tony-'' You said, scared. You put his arm over your shoulders so he could lean on you, and guided him to the bed. You immediately ripped his bloodied undershirt open, grabbing your things and disinfecting cuts while he hissed. You worked fast- you were so scared you lost him. ''Fucking asshole...'' You mumbled, your voice trembling a bit. He kept staring at you, his eyes soft and vulnerable even though he was exhausted. ''Do you even know how worried I was? You can't just- not answer, Tony. I thought you were dead. I'd bring you back to life if you were, just to kill you again myself.'' You said, trying to focus on patching him up. You kept rambling, mostly to stop yourself from breaking down right there. ''No one even came to help find you or something, and I kept asking JARVIS, but he said your suit and location was disabled-'' ''I'm in love with you.'' He said quiet, so quiet it was almost a whisper. You froze, your head snapping to look at his face. You didn't say anything. ''No, you're not.'' You said, trying not to say it back. He nodded, ''I am, though.'' It was dead quiet after, and you continued patching him up while he kept staring at you. ''Aren't we supposed to kiss after my great love confession?'' He said, smirking at me. you swallowed and looked at him, trying not to smile. You were obsessed with books with big love confessions, and they always ended up in the characters kissing each other. ''I thought you thought those confessions were too cliché?'' You said, trying to surpress a smile. You were so glad he was okay. ''Well, if they happen to other people, it's corny and disgusting. But I wouldn't mind if you-'' And you cut him off by dipping your head and kissing him. He froze. Not once had a kiss felt that good before. He couldn't think. Couldn't breathe. And then he started kissing you back, pulling you ontop of him despite his injuries. Not once had he liked it when a woman was on top, either. But damn- he never wanted you to get off.
