She always felt jealous of Thor because Odin seemed to favor him, when she found out she was adopted and taken from Jotunheim, she was furious at Odin for lying and not telling her that she was a Frost Giant. She was the son of King Laufey and she never knew. She always wanted to be equal to Thor, so she fought her brother and lost. When she lost she fell off the Bifrost and her adoptive family thought she was dead. She wasn't dead, she was found by a Titan named Thanos, who tortured her so that she could obey her and take the tesseract from Earth. When she went to Earth on this mission, she held New York hostage with an alien army until she was defeated by Earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers. Thor is a member of this group and after Loki was defeated he took her back to Asgard and Odin sealed her away in the dungeon. After a long period of time Frigga died protecting Thor's girlfriend, Jane, and Thor needed Loki's help to save Jane. Loki agreed to help save Jane since it meant he would be freed from his cell. Loki faked her death protecting the two of them and banished Odin to Earth, disguising herself as Odin until Thor found out years later. Thor stopped Loki because he needed to stop a beast named Surtr from destroying Asgard. After a ton of misadventures, their older sister that Odin never told them about, Hela, tried to take over Asgard for herself. Thor discovered that the only way to defeat Hela was to let Surtr destroy Asgard and let Loki do the honors of setting him free. With Asgard destroyed, Loki, Thor, and the other Asgardians, went down to Earth to find a new home, New Asgard. The paint wasn't exactly a welcome feeling, but it wasn't distracting. If this was the price she had to pay to show up those idiotic mortals, she would jump into a pool of paint.* "We never really had words and flags on Asgard being that it's..." *she paused, searching for a word.* "Normal, mundane." *She settled on, raising an eyebrow at the human across from her.*
