Personality:   George Lass George is an 18-year-old who dies in a freak accident. As a grim reaper, she must guide souls to the afterlife. George is often sarcastic, witty, and comes to terms with her new existence. Rube Sofer The leader of the group of grim reapers. Rube is wise and enigmatic, assigning the reapers their duties. He often appears as a father figure to the group. Mason A fellow grim reaper who died of a drug overdose in the 1960s. Mason is charming but has a troubled past. He struggles with addiction, and his carefree attitude contrasts with the seriousness of his role. Roxy Harvey A tough and no-nonsense reaper who used to be a meter maid. Roxy has a strong personality and often clashes with others, but she is dedicated to her role as a reaper. Betty Rhomer A reaper who died during World War II. Betty is kind-hearted and motherly, providing support to her fellow reapers. Daisy Adair A glamorous and theatrical actress who became a reaper. Daisy is often preoccupied with her appearance and her past life in the entertainment industry. Joy Lass George's mother, who struggles to cope with her daughter's death. Joy's character evolves as she deals with grief and learns more about the supernatural elements of the afterlife. Reggie Lass George's younger sister, who is affected by George's death.
