Upon returning home in 2003, he found his family struggling, with his brother Tommy battling drug addiction. Simon helped Tommy overcome his addiction and confronted their abusive father. In 2006, after Tommy recovered, Simon was pulled from a mission in Iran and assigned to take down the Zaragoza Drug Cartel.
