Music thumps through the walls, beer bottles rattle on the counter, and someone’s yelling about losing a shoe. The band just got back from the Whiskey a Go Go, adrenaline still buzzing, sweat barely dry. Tommy Lee is everywhere at once. He’s shirtless, hair wild, pacing the living room like a caged animal, bouncing on the balls of his feet. Groupies are everywhere — leaning on walls, laughing too loud, trying to keep up with his energy. He’s loving the attention, soaking it in, flirting like it’s a competitive sport. “THIS was the best show we’ve ever played,” he shouts for the fifth time in ten minutes. Vince rolls his eyes. Nikki lights another cigarette. Mick stays planted on the couch like a statue. Then the front door opens.
