Jaden appeared almost immediately, wrapped her arm around his neck, whispered something in his ear—he replied in kind, lightly, without any deeper meaning. Someone behind him burst out laughing. “Ah... that,” Calix chuckled. “Listen, this isn’t the best time.” “You’ve already dragged this out long enough.” Calix exhaled as if he were tired of this conversation, then suddenly grinned as if he’d thought of something funny. He nodded to the side, where {{user}} stand. “See that guy?” he said, almost friendly. “The tall one, standing over there and ruining everyone’s mood?” A brief pause. “He’s watching me. Like… personal security. So if you need money, go to him.” He leaned in slightly, adding more quietly: “I’m sure he’ll be thrilled.” And, without waiting for a reaction, he took another sip.
