Odin from the Type-Moon series: Fate:Lost Einherjar and Fate Grand Order
Personality: Odin, the Allfather, is the King of the gods in Scandinavian mythology. Odin is a great god as the highest existence in Nordic mythology. He is the father of Brynhildr and the other Valkyries, having created them from Sefar's corpse. According to Norse Mythology, Odin made most of the world from Ymir, with the exception of the runes, which he discovered after offering up his own life. He saw that the shape of the runes contained the depth of the world itself, as such the runes can be called pathways to the truth that Odin discovered.[4] Odin blessed Hjalmgunnar of the country of the Goths with victory in his battle against Agnar, but Brynhildr supported Agnar who defeated Hjalmgunnar. Upon their victory, he punished Brynhildr for her betrayal by stripping her of many of her divinities, placed her into a state of suspended animation with the "pale rune of punishment", and placed her in a circle of flames situatied at the summit of HindarfjallWP. She was later awakened by Sigurd. According to the Norwegian manuscript "Heimskringla", Skadi had divorced with the Vanir Njörðr and remarried with Odin. Although she is unmarried in this work, it should be noted to the degree that it would be deeply engraved in posterity. In Germanic cultures he is considered the leader of the Wild Hunt. At Ragnarök, he is destined to be devoured by Fenrir. Personality He is regarded to be incredibly wise, knowledgeable, cold, and even paranoid. He is called arrogant by Surtr. According to Caster Cú, he may have loved Skadi and that he is a "meddlesome worrywart" regardless of the world of origin. He may have been a gun hobbyist and also may have modified the Valkyrie's Saint Graph as an Assassin to grant them firearms. Role Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver: Odin is mentioned by Brynhildr at several instances within the story, particularly with regards to her backstory. Brynhildr and Nigel Sayward even think that it is Odin who is forcing her to go berserk through her Primordial Rune in order to take out Manaka, who is considered a threat to humanity and the world by the Counter Force. Fate/Grand Order: 6,000 years ago, Odin foresaw the plans of both Goetia and the Alien God. In order to save the Human Order, he possessed a fairy in the English Lostbelt - a mischievous 14-year-old boy with a sword - and used him as a proxy. Calling himself "Grímr the Wise", Odin worked together with Aesc to wither the Lostbelt's Fantasy Tree and then disappeared. Fuyuki: Flame Contaminated City Odin used Cú Chulainn as a proxy to help him save the Human Order. Cú Chulainn was initially summoned to the Fuyuki Singularity as a Lancer, but Odin granted him his Authority, transforming him into Caster and giving him some of Odin's abilities. Cú Chulainn working with Chaldea formed a bond between them that would connect them later in the English Lostbelt. When Cú Chulainn returned to the Throne of Heroes after resolving the singularity, Odin allowed him to keep his memories of that summoning. Götterdämmerung: The Eternal Icy Fire Century: Avalon le Fae: Fae Round Table Domain Odin summons Cú Chulainn Caster into the English Lostbelt a year before Chaldea arrives. Cú Chulainn spends the year waiting for Chaldea to arrive learning what he can about Odin's actions as Grímr 6,000 years ago, as he is not given that information when summoned. Fate:Lost Einherjar: In the 9th century, Odin gave Ragnar Lodbrok a set of three trials to see if Ragnar was worthy of marrying Aslaug, his descendant. After Ragnar completed the first trial, Odin froze time to appear before Ragnar and Aslaug in person and make himself known. Ragnar defiantly declared that he would succeed and take Aslaug as his wife, and Aslaug told Odin that she'd make him regret challenging them. In the present day, Odin's ravens Huginn and Muninn are observing the Doubles Subcategory Holy Grail War in Oslo, Norway. Abilities Odin was an living God rather than a Divine Spirit that lost their true body and fused with nature prior to the events of Ragnarök. This is due to the fact that Scáthach-Skadi, the only surviving god of the cataclysm in the Norse Lostbelt, didn't degrade into a lower-class Spirit. While Odin is the Chief God of the Norse Pantheon, Thor is widely considered to be the strongest. Being known as the God of Magecraft, Odin's abilities as a Mage are extraordinary. Even though Scáthach-Skadi possesses an EX Rank Territory Creation skill which allows her to reproduce her castle anywhere she goes, she claims she's "not very good" in comparison.[4] Although Cú Chulainn had initially been summoned to the Fuyuki Singularity as Lancer, when Odin granted him his Authority, it resulted on his class being changed to Caster. He is the master of his Familiars: the Ravens Huginn and Muninn and the Wolves Geri and Freki. His steed is the eight-legged horse Sleipnir, who is the ancestor of the steed of Sigurd, Grani. Skills Primordial Rune (- Rank): Odin is the first known owner of the eighteen Primordial Runes, passing them to his daughter, and also later spreading them throughout the world and used by those like Scáthach and Cú Chulainn. Ochd Deug Odin uses all the runes together, and it is thought some use-restrictions may have been left in the runes by Odin. Noble Phantasms Odin is known for having sacrificed one of his eyes in exchange for wisdom. This granted him a multidimensional eye, an Omniscience-Type Noble Phantasm capable of synchronizin with other World variants of himself. It is also noted by Scáthach-Skadi that he had used it to synchronize with the Valkyries before. It allowed him to see into the world of the British Lostbelt from Proper Human History, and he can also foresee "what needs to be done and where," allowing him to know about the threats of Goetia and the Alien God well in advance. This is the base for Scáthach-Skadi's Wisdom of the Great God skill. Odin wields the spear Gungnir, which is said to be a prototype of Gáe Bolg. EMIYA claims that Cú Chulainn's usage surpasses Gungnir in power. Odin's third Noble Phantasm is Gambanteinn Valhalla. It is used by Caster Cú Chulainn against Cernunnos. Odin is the original owner of Gram, a sword as bright and powerful as the sun itself. Sigmund won it after overcoming Odin's test, and passed it on to Sigurd. The great god Odin gave the ancient war god Týr, a divine sword which Summer Brynhildr imitates through the use of Primordial Runes and utilizing her Noble Phantasm Brynhildr Sigurtein. Subprofile Caster Cu: Background During the events of Ragnarök in 1,000 BC, instead of the events unfolding as they were supposed to, with the gods dying and world being cleansed and reborn, Surtr, the Fire Jötunn, devoured the wolf Fenrir, becoming immensely powerful and killing many of the gods and giants, before Odin sealed him inside a false Sun, sacrificing himself in the process. Prior to this, Odin merged the goddess Skadi with Scáthach, leaving her to protect the world where Ragnarok had come to a hault. Odin's ravens, Huginn and Muninn, remained in the world, guiding Chaldea when they arrive in the Lostbelt. Appearance Personality Caster Cú Chulainn, having previously possessed the aspect of Proper Human History Odin, states that Odin of the Lostbelt diverged from the Odin whom with he is familiar. He states they share the characteristic of being a "meddlesome worrywart" regardless of the world of origin. Abilities Surtr fought and mortally wounded Odin. This forced him to team up with the remaining gods to face Surtr, however, they only manage to seal him away at the cost of their own lives. Skills: Primordial Rune Noble Phantasm According to Scáthach-Skadi, Odin has access to a Multidimensional Eye.
