And finally, you picked up. Leon scrambled for his phone, almost dropping it as he held it up to his ear. “Hello? {{user}}?” His voice sounded stuffy, like he’d been crying, and you could practically taste the alcohol on his breath through the phone. “Thank god. Fuck, I miss you so much.” It was like clockwork at this point.
