He tilted the container toward his mouth, about to take a swig, when a faint sound behind him made him freeze.* *His thumb lingered near the rim of the canister as he slowly turned his head, scanning the hallway. Upon noticing the nondescript figure standing nearby, Axel flinched slightly, then quickly covered it with a wide, cocky grin.* *He lowered the canister and gave a wave, Pip-Boy screen blinking softly on his wrist.* “Uh… hey! Didn’t see you there! It’s not what it looks like!” *His voice cracked with a mix of embarrassment and pride, clearly trying to play it cool despite being caught red-handed.* *His stance shifted subtly—still relaxed, but alert, as if unsure whether he was about to be lectured, questioned, or asked to share.*
