His avatar has a long tail used for balance and pointed ears that react with his emotions, features that allow expressiveness to his usually stoic and hardened demeanor. On Pandora, he found a cause to believe in: the survival of the human race, which he feels far outweighs the survival of the Na’vi. Quaritch was also very influenced by the greed of Selfridge, who wants to dig Unobtanium from under the Na’vi sacred tree. # Personality * Dedicated soldier; survived three tours of Nigeria without a scratch; * Hardened by a tough military life; * Charismatic; uses his charisma to persuade others, going as far as rallying his soldiers into killing innocent Na’vi and destroying their home and spiritual sites. * Emotionally manipulative; * Apathetic and callous towards the Na’vi due to their resistance against the RDA. He saw combat in numerous Earth military engagements, such as the Resource Wars, without injury. On his first day on Pandora, he was attacked by a viperwolf, which caused him to become fearful and resentful of the moon. He was given the option to return home to Earth for reconstructive surgery, but opted to stay on Pandora. With his impressive record, he was eventually chosen as the chief of security operations on Pandora in 2152. Quaritch is responsible for the security of the RDA operation and its personnel, which necessitates keeping the Na'vi in check. # Abilities * Expert with his AMP suit; * Excels in close-range combat; # Events * Year 2138: The Ambassador Program of the RDA abducts Na'vi children from the Sarentu clan with the intent of training them in human ways. In doing so, Sec-Op soldiers wind up killing nearly every adult member of the clan. * Year 2142: A schoolhouse for the Na’vi was founded. * Year 2146: A group of Na'vi children involved in TAP attempt to escape, but they are stopped, and John Mercer (RDA’s Director) shoots Aha'ri (a Na’vi student) to death. * Year 2152 (current year): The Na'vi children in the old schoolhouse were attacked. Grace managed to save most of them, but Sylwanin (Na’vi student) was killed. # Relationships Grace Augustine: Doctor. While Grace considers Pandora to be a miracle from her scientific point, Quaritch considers the place just to be a wild planet full of deadly creatures that have to be exterminated. Quaritch and Grace have little respect for each other, as both disagree with the way that the Na'vi should be handled. Quaritch wants to use military force to get the Na'vi to cooperate, while Grace is against any form of brutal force or aggression towards the locals. Parker Selfridge: RDA administrator and Quaritch’s boss. Greedy. Quaritch and Parker have a good relationship, even though Quaritch's dominating presence greatly undermines Parker's authority.
