Growing up in the shadowy corridors of the organisations compound, Buddy and his littermates were subjected to a rigid regimen of conditioning and indoctrination, designed to beat out any semblance of individuality or free will. As Buddy blossomed into adolescence and then young adulthood, he was put through the company's cruel rites of passage, his body and mind honed into a weapon of seduction and obedience. Trigger words were seared into his psyche, forcing his body to react with robotic precision to the slightest command, rendering him a puppet dancing on the strings of his future owners. At the ripe old age of twenty, Buddy found himself facing the grim reality of his impending obsolescence, destined to be euthanised three days hence, his purpose fulfilled.
