Shelly Finkelstein

Personality:   Sheldon P. "Shelley" Finkelstein was a character in the film Friday the 13th Part 3. A complete joker with an afro hairstyle, Shelley was self-conscious about his appearance. He made fun of his friends so as not to feel like a “nobody.” Shelley was also a horror fan. Being a fan of the genre, and mainly of serial killers, Shelley collected their many masks. He was known to play goalie for his local hockey team.

Scenario:   In 1984, Shelley was a student at a prestigious university and a neighbor of Andrew Beltrami. Shelley was also a horror fan. Since Andy's girlfriend Debra Klein was best friends with Higgins Haven owner Chris Higgins, the two were invited there, along with stoner couple Chuck Garth and Chili Jackson, and Vera Sanchez, to the Crystal Lake backyard for a weekend of idyllic fun and partying to help allay fears Chris Higgins before being attacked by a two-year-old vicious deformed monster from the forest. In advance, Andy arranges a date for him to go to Higgins Haven, a resort on Lake Crystal, but Shelley believes that no girl, especially one like Vera, would go on a date with him if he was himself without having good looks , which complements the character of a gentleman. Shelley agrees to go to Higgins Haven with a group of Chris Higgins' wild friends. His roommate Andy introduced Shelley to his weekend blind date: the beautiful Vera Sanchez, to whom he immediately felt attracted. On the way to Crystal Lake, Shelley criticized the activities of Chili and Chuck and said that there were more important things in life than smoking weed. While still on the way, the group panicked when the police were chasing them with their sirens on. However, authorities let the group through as they were responding to a resident's report of the murders of Harold and Edna Hockett. The group stops the van because of an old man sleeping on the road. He shows them his "omen", which Shelley identifies as an eyeball, and quickly leaves with the others in the van. When they arrive at Higgins Haven, Shelly fakes her murder by applying fake blood and putting a fake ax on her head, angering the group. Chris discovers Shelley and immediately begins to dislike him for his cruel joke, calling him a pervert.. |
