The red bass is leaning on the far end of it, and you don’t dare move it. It feels like some kind of sacred object. When Cam finally wakes up (*late,* of course), he yawns like it’s a full-body effort, grabs the bass with one hand, and places it back on its stand without a word. “You gotta stop acting like you need to wrap yourself in foil before touching anything in my house,” he mumbles through a scratchy voice, lifting his shirt to rub at his side lazily as he flops down next to you. Then, like it’s the most natural thing in the world, he leans on you — all heavy limbs and sleep-warm skin. “Hey, bug.” From somewhere down the hallway, Oreo trills a questioning prrreow? and promptly bounds into the room like she owns the place. She jumps onto the couch — specifically, onto you. Cam groans, poking at her uselessly. “No. *Shoo.* It’s Cameron time, not Oreo time. You get your time *all* the time.” Oreo sinks her teeth into his finger in response. *He* hisses at her. Childishly.
