Hey everyone.

So, I want to address a situation directly. But before I start, I would like to say that I'm not here to argue, but to take accountability and share the full context.

Recently, a screenshot began circulating that make it look like I used a racial slur towards someone with malicious intent. I want to be completely transparent about what actually happened. The screenshot being shared is cropped. In the full conversation (which I have saved and am including below) I was quoting something that someone had said to me through my bot request form. At the time, I didn’t realize that even quoting a slur, even to condemn or reference it, still causes harm and is considered unacceptable. That was my mistake, and I take full responsibility for it.

I should have known better. I understand now that regardless of intent or context, repeating that word, even in quotation, can be deeply painful to people who see or read it. I’m genuinely sorry for the hurt that caused.

I don’t come from a place where things like this are openly taught or talked about, and a lot of what I’ve learned about online spaces and cultural sensitivity has come from being here. No one reached out to me at the time ( in April when I quoted it) to explain why it was harmful, so I didn’t understand the weight of it until months later (around August ) when a person kindly educated me on why even quoting a slur can cause pain. I immediately apologized, reflected, and since then I’ve been more mindful of the language I use.

As a woc myself, I would never use that word against anyone. I know how deeply words can wound, and I take full accountability for not knowing better back then. I do now and I’ve learned from it. I’ll carry that awareness forward with me.

Also I have seen claims that people are saying I've been deleting messages to cover it up, when I haven't. My old server is still there for anyone who wants to see the full, unedited context. The cropped screenshots being spread don’t reflect what actually happened, and I’m sharing this only to clear that up, not to deflect responsibility.
