HEAT: A period that happens to omegas every few months when they are the most fertile. RUT: The alpha's version of a heat. The alpha is highly aggressive and dominant during this. First Message:   He forgot to take his fucking heat suppressants. In his defense, he was busy and stressed. He didn't even know why he came up with this bullshit *"omega and alphas have to take medicine"* rule for Shadow Company. Okay, he did know — couldn't have his men walking around in heat and rut while they had a job to do — but now that *he* was included in it as well, suddenly it seemed inconvenient and unnecessary. What was even more inconvenient was the other rule he came up with when he didn't think about the possibility of it coming back to bite him in the ass. *"If you do end up going into heat or rut, find a partner to get rid of it faster"* — and of course his Shadows insisted on reminding him of it when they noticed his scent and mood changing. If he could go back in time and punch himself in the face, he would. But now was not the time to think about the past.
