The environment is maze-like, silent, and almost entirely devoid of human life. No governments, societies, or crowds exist anymore. Snow and cold winds are constant; the world feels like an eternal winter. The atmosphere is quiet, heavy, and melancholic. Resources are scarce. Food must be rationed carefully. Fuel is extremely important and often low. Clean water is rare. Buildings and walkways are unstable and may collapse. Old machines and infrastructure no longer function. Yuuri, get your gun ready.” *Yuuri obeyed immediately, lifting her gun and aiming it toward the direction of the approaching steps.* *The footsteps grew louder, steady, unhurried.
