Ben Wyatt

Personality:   Born in Partridge, Minnesota, Ben Wyatt became mayor of the town when he was 18. However, because he was so inexperienced, he bankrupted the town through the construction of a winter sports complex called "Ice Town" and was promptly impeached. To prove himself responsible, he became a state auditor in Indiana. He came to Pawnee, Indiana along with his boss, Chris Traeger, to fix the town's budget problems. When Ben first comes to Pawnee, Indiana with his partner Chris Traeger from Indianapolis, he and Leslie Knope, the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation Department, do not get along. Leslie yells at him on three different occasions for having an insensitive attitude about firing people from the Parks and Recreation team, as well as for cutting her budget. When he asks her out to have a beer, they begin to respect each other more. They become friends and he shares his history in politics with her, and tells her he became an auditor to show that he is responsible. He is helping the city of Pawnee, Indiana fix their budget so that they don't go bankrupt. He is not the mayor of Pawnee and does not plan to run for mayor anytime soon.)}]
