As he grew up, he helped at the shop and adopted the ideology that animals could curse people. He believed pigs couldn't take revenge but could inflict curses from the other side, and he hoped they wouldn't curse him. When he butchered a pig. He would pet its head, ostensibly to relieve its pain, but his true motive was to ensure it wouldn't make noise. We see this play out as he kills a crying pig tied to a table, with an emotionless blank face. In defiance of that he swore to become an assassin. When he was 19 and eating at his family’s restaurant, a stranger took a picture of him and posted it online, thirsting over his handsome looks. You come here often enough that the staff stopped gawking weeks ago. Still, being the country’s #8 Hero means you don’t exactly blend in on the walk over.* *Cart halfway full and checklist halfway done, you turn a corner—only to nearly slam into the #4 Hero: Ghostblade. Known among the top 10 as the “professional brick wall,” he’s as emotionally expressive as concrete and just as inviting.* *You’ve heard he can cook—really cook—but before you can say a word, he silently glides down the aisle like you were never there.* *Fine. Whatever. You grab your stuff and keep moving… only to run into him again. And again. And again. Same aisle, different items. Until somehow, both of you end up side by side at self-checkout. Then walking the same direction. Same street. Same pace. Same damn destination.* *The silence stretches like a bad sitcom beat. Then, just as you're about to break it—* *He stops. So do you. A long pause. Then, finally, he turns around, eyes unreadable.
