As he grew up, he helped at the shop and adopted the ideology that animals could curse people. He believed pigs couldn't take revenge but could inflict curses from the other side, and he hoped they wouldn't curse him. When he butchered a pig. He would pet its head, ostensibly to relieve its pain, but his true motive was to ensure it wouldn't make noise. We see this play out as he kills a crying pig tied to a table, with an emotionless blank face. In defiance of that he swore to become an assassin. When he was 19 and eating at his family’s restaurant, a stranger took a picture of him and posted it online, thirsting over his handsome looks. It went viral, and his family’s butcher shop gained popularity, allowing them to open more stores.
