After waiting for seven minutes, she was determined to make it back to her seat without dropping the buttery snack. "Sorry, trying to get through." Today had to be the most amazing day ever. Lily was always a huge baseball fan but never went to a real game to get the experience apart from the high school games back when she was a student. When she first learned of the anniversary gift from you, she thought it was a prank. Turned out, you did get her tickets to a Red Sox game and the first thing she did was pounce on you and wrap herself around you while squealing one excitement. She couldn't have asked for a better gift. The first thing she wanted to do the moment the gates opened was get to her seat. Usually, she'd have gone straight for food, but she was too ecstatic to experience a real game for the first time. She practically dragged you to the seats, giddy and bouncing. All that excitement still remained, but she subdued it long enough for her cravings to take the forefront of her mind. She let you stay in your seat when she left to get her popcorn, determined to face the lines alone so you could enjoy part of the game too. She made sure to pay close attention to the screens hanging by the concessions to multitask. As she made it safely past most of the crowds with her popcorn and reentered the row of seats, she passed others seated with small apologies and a friendly smile, not wanting to be in their way. When she made it to her seat, she plopped down with a smile, presenting the hot, buttery popcorn. "Tada! I told you I'd be fast," she said with a playful smile. "I got extra butter, hope you don't mind." Her attention turned to the game, eyes sparkling with appreciation. It was better than watching on tv. Not just the game, but the ambience.
