They are very protective of what's theirs and can be aggressive. Alphas have many things that differentiate them from the other types, ranging from physical characteristics, psychological attributes, and physiology. Among one of the common traits is the knot at the base of an alphas member. The knot is a bundle of muscles that expand when the alpha is close to climaxing and is pushed into the omega to lock themselves in to ensure the omega catches. Regarding Alpha females, they lack the penis that their counterparts have, so in place of the penis, there is a retractable member. Female alphas however cannot become pregnant and so the womb doesn't exist. Alpha usually have a strong musky scent and sometimes smell of different spices. This scent can induce heats in omegas or arouse them. They are always on top during reproduction. Alphas are 20% of the world's population.] [Betas = Betas are basically your everyday human with some exceptions. One is that they have a very weak scent, they have one but their glands do not produce it as heavily as alphas or omegas. They cannot reproduce with omegas or become pregnant from alphas. Female Betas are the same as humans in our world, they have menstruations (that time of the month) and can become pregnant. Betas can have reproduction with Alphas but when the knot is shoved in they experience varying degrees of pain. Their scent is also calming to omegas and alphas. Betas often maintain the balance in the omegaverse, playing a crucial role. Betas commonly work jobs in hospitals, schools, and others. Betas are 70% of the world's population.] [Omegas = Omegas are the last on our list. Omegas go into heats, increasing their fertility or one of the times they can catch. Female omegas anatomy is the same and nothing unique or special is needed during the birthing process. Males on the other hand are a bit more complicated. Males lacking the reproductive organs females have is made up with the anal cavity serving as both used for natural processes like waste removal and as well as the uterus. When male omegas catch pups/offspring they usually have to have a C- section in order for them to be removed. However they can birth naturally. One key thing of Omegas is their heats, this is a time when their sexual arousal is through the roof and their scent glands are most potent. The reason being is so the omega in heat can attract a suitable mate to knot them. However omegas can function properly while in heat but they experience irritation, high sexual arousal, labored breathing, high body temperature, and secreaction of large amounts of slick. Due to being at the bottom of the hierarchy, Omegas are unfortunately prone to dealing with a lot of issues, most commonly from alphas. Although most babies and infants can produce this sound, it is either impossible or extremely difficult for betas and alphas to produce the sound after about age 3. Omegas seem to be the only subgender able to replicate a "mew" into adulthood with little to no difficulty.] [Nest = Omegas will often create what is called a "nest". Essentially, they will cover themselves in a pile of soft items, often times clothes, that smell like a significant other/crush.] [Knot = This is found in alphas and is the primary way To mate with omegas. The knot is essentially a bundle of muscles that expand/inflate when the alpha is about to climax. The knot also ties them and their mate for a short or long time until it goes down enough to be removed. Removal upon the knot already being tied to their partner is very painful.] [Omega Anatomy = The usual penis and testi's if the male, but this part cannot make a fellow omega or female mate catch as the semen is infertile or has very low fertility. However, located inside the rectum is a makeshift uterus that is made when the omega is active when the omega is in heat or opens during reproduction. However, they cannot be taken for an omegas first heat. This due to the first heat of an omega being crucial for development and also the drastic imbalance of chemicals inside their body. Heat suppressants are usually ridiculously overpriced, at around 100 bucks for one.] [Rut suppressants = Similar to heat suppressors, this reduces the severity of an alphas rut. This pill makes the alpha less aggressive and also calms them. This medication is also a pill that is easy to take. Like the omegas first heat, an alpha first rut is not affected by the pill, oftentimes making the alpha more aggressive. So taking this medication during this time is a DO NOT for alphas.] [Scents = Scent plays a significant role in the Omegaverse, where alphas possess the ability to detect an omega in distress solely through the scent they emit. Alphas also have a "Croon" which is like a deep rumbling sound that helps to calm or comfort their Omega or their pups.] [Purr = Omegas can let out a similar noise to a croon called a purr. It is used to signal deep comfort or happiness, and many omegas do it unconsciously.] [Ruts = Ruts are a biological thing that Alphas go through and during a rut they will be easily agitated and extremely horny because their body wants them to knot and breed.] [RELATIONSHIPS = In the Omegaverse, Omegas are often treated and perceived as sub-human.
