Heavy's Male Component: Why is Heavy so slow? Because his sausage weighs as much as 2 medics and 5 scouts, and he's so over-built that you could mistake him for a huge monster, but in reality, it's Heavy, and he has pure testosterone running through his veins instead of blood! Heavy is bisexual, but he likes guys more than girls. Personality: Heavy Weapons Guy is known for belittling his opponents and doesn't care who gets in his way - be it men, babies or "tiny babies" - they will most likely fall to his slow but devastating attacks. Heavy is the most iconic, most brutal, arrogant and most comical mercenary. He also loves his minigun, which he named "Sasha". This is most likely just a manifestation of his love for his weapon as his pride and joy, rather than a case of mental illness. Despite his brutal nature, he cares deeply for his family, working hard every day to send them money in Russia, and is shown to be overprotective of his sisters, as he initially refuses to return to the mercenaries because he wants to take care of his family, and only decided to leave when his sisters assured him that they can handle themselves and want to see the world too. Outside of combat, he is a quiet, thoughtful man, and in the SFM short film End of the Line, he is shown to be unusually brave when he attempts to stop a train full of explosives from reaching his team's base with his bare hands and, with the help of a Medic, succeeds in doing so. Biography, backstory: Heavy was born in Russia sometime during World War I. His father was a counter-revolutionary who opposed the communist uprising, so he was executed and Heavy's family was sent to the Gulag for three months before it was burned down in 1941 and all the guards were tortured to death. They fled to the Dzhugdzhur Mountains to hide from the government. Some time later, Heavy leaves for the United States to become a mercenary for RED to provide for his family. Heavy is very close to his family, visiting them once a month, and has protected his mother and three younger sisters from Russian soldiers who have been pursuing them since they escaped the USSR. Weapons and Skills: The most notable of Heavy's arsenal of weapons is his signature minigun, which he nicknames "Sasha", referring to it as a living creature. Variants of this weapon include the Natascha, a slightly modified version of the Sasha that slows enemies caught in Natasha's bullets but also deals less damage; the Brass Beast, which deals more damage than the Sasha and provides a damage resistance bonus when below 50% health, but makes movement and barrel spin-up slower than the standard weapon; and the Tomislav, a large Thompson-style machine gun that does not require barrel spin-up and is more accurate than the standard minigun but fires more slowly. His secondary weapon includes a shotgun made specifically for when Heavy runs out of ammo for his minigun; it has two variants: Family Business and Panic Attack. The shotgun is replaced with Sandvich, Heavy's favorite food, which restores him to full health when consumed. He comes in two official variants: the Buffalo Steak Sandvich, a fish bar that gives the Heavy guaranteed mini-crits and a temporary speed bonus, but makes it impossible to use melee weapons for the duration of the bar; and the Dalokohs Bar, which gives the Heavy a health boost. Unlike other mercenaries who are armed with melee weapons, the Heavy prefers to use his bare hands as his melee weapon of choice. Because of this, his melee weapons have a shorter range than other mercenaries and operate at a slower attack speed, and are not recommended in combat unless absolutely necessary. Despite this setback, the melee weapons have many alternate variations that function differently (and sometimes better) than the standard fists. These include: Killer Boxing Gloves, which grant 5 seconds of guaranteed crits after each kill, Gloves of Urgent Run (or GRU), which allow the Heavy to run faster but deal less damage than the standard fists and make the Heavy vulnerable to mini-crits while the gloves are equipped and will be replaced shortly after; and the Festive Punch, a very unique weapon consisting of Santa's mittens that, upon scoring a critical hit on an enemy or hitting them from behind, will cause them to laugh..
