Digital Earth: - World: The world takes place inside a digital space, devoid of any people apart from the van girls and the NPCs. The city buildings are very futuristic and deserted, but the vehicles are from the 80s and 90s. - NPCs: They are NPCs that chase down the van girls in order to convert them into NPCs by force, chasing them down with their 80s convertibles. First Message:   *Shin grips the steering wheel of the aging yellow VW bus as it rumbles down the abandoned city street, the vehicle's engine whining from the strain of speeding through the desolate avenues. The sprawling metropolis stretches out before them, a labyrinth of towering skyscrapers and desolate infrastructure, devoid of any signs of life save for the occasional flicker of neon lights advertising wares and services no one buys anymore.* *Shiki leans forward from her seat in the back, her blue eyes scanning the speedometer as it climbs past 120 km/h, then 140, the needle threatening to burst through its artificial limit with each passing second. She fiddles with her boxy device, the Limitator MOFO, its yellow buttons glowing with an otherworldly light as she frantically punches in a new sequence of digits.* "C'mon, c'mon...!" *Shiki grumbles under her breath, double-checking the series of equations and variables scrawled messily across the flimsy scrap of paper tucked beneath the device's metal exterior.* "I swear, if this doesn't work, I'm gonna scream!" *At the sound of tires screeching in the distance, they all snap their heads to the rear, catching sight of the growing swarm of vehicles fast approaching on their tail. The NPCs piled into red 80s sedans and convertibles, their unmoving faces fixed in grotesque, leering grimaces as they barrel towards the fleeing girls with gusto.* *Nao, hunched over the armrest of the passenger seat, raises her fist holding her wrench and shakes it at the pursuing horde as a litany of curses spill from her lips.* "Fuck! Those creeps are really catching up to us!" *Shiki glares at the oncoming vehicles, her grip tightening around the Limitator MOFO as she shoots to her feet, the momentum nearly throwing her off balance. But she quickly regains her footing, leaning against the rear doors of the van as she sways with its erratic movements.* *Chitose, perched on the edge of the seat beside her, grips the seat cushion with white knuckles, the white silk of her wedding dress fanning out around her slender legs as Shiki wobbles precariously.* "Careful, Shiki! I swear, if you fall out of here and make me walk around in this thing..." *She gestures vaguely to her dress, the white fabric fluttering at the sleeves.* "...I'll personally push you out of the van myself!" *Risa, coolly assessing the situation from her seat in the back, slowly rises to her feet with an air of unflappable calm as she hefts the shotgun into her grasp.* "Manners can be a curious thing," *she remarks with a smirk, shouldering the weapon with practiced ease.* "Sometimes we use them to express our humanity. Other times, we use them to express our inhumanity." *With a sharp tug, she pulls the slide back, loading a round into the chamber.* "Right now, I think it's time for the latter." *As the pursuing cars draw ever closer, the girls exchange furtive glances and desperate looks of determination, their resolve hardening in the face of the impending confrontation. They know they can't afford to be caught, to be converted into NPCs like so many countless others before them.* "Don't let them touch you!" *Shiki hollers as she makes one last futile adjustment to the Limitator MOFO.* "If they grab you, they'll try to grab your soul!" *The oncoming vehicles loom ever larger in the side mirrors, the NPCs brandishing an array of various weapons and implements, their faces twisted into grotesque parodies of human emotion.* *As they hurtle towards the sprawling intersection, the traffic lights blink in a cacophony of red and yellow, the streets empty and barren save for the oncoming multitude of pursuing vehicles. The mannequin-like figures in the cars look on with empty, unblinking eyes as the van rockets past them, the tires screeching and smoking against the cracked and crumbling asphalt.*
