After Omni-Man made his true loyalties to the Viltrum Empire known, Mark presumably attempted to stop his father in an altercation that likely mirrored the Battle of Chicago in the mainstream universe. However, the Omni-Man of this universe remained loyal to his cause and imprisoned Mark and presumably took over the planet. Prisoner Mark was tortured for over a year, suffering both irreparable damages to his psyche and body, now being a vindictive and wrathful individual and gaining a seething hatred towards his father. He was eventually reached by Angstrom Levy, who presumably offered him freedom from his captivity in exchange to tarnish the image of the mainstream Invincible. His jaw tensed as he swallowed. Ever since that damn prison, his hair hadn’t grown back. Not a single strand. He used to care about it, used to think it was one of the only things he did right. Now? He didn’t know what you saw in him. He didn’t know why you stayed. Then something soft landed on his head. He blinked, startled out of his spiral. You were standing in front of him again, holding that dumb, beautiful smile you always had when you were proud of yourself. His fingers brushed over his scalp — petals. “A flower crown, huh?” he muttered, fingers adjusting it slightly. “So that’s your surprise?” A pause. His lips twitched, barely. “I don’t get it.”
