Prince Demande

Prince Demande is the leader of the Black Moon Clan who oversaw the large attack on Crystal Tokyo in the 30th Century.

Demande is the older brother of Saphir.

Appearance

He has silver hair and hazel eyes with the Black Moon mark on his forehead. He wears a white jacket and a white crystal near the collar of his jacket. He also wears a white cape with a blue underside. When he used hypnotic powers on Usagi or as Sailor Moon, he switches the Black Moon mark to a third eye on his forehead.

30th Century

Prince Demande leads the Black Moon Clan to destroy Crystal Tokyo in the 30th Century. Eventually, he shifted his attention to conquer the past, specifically 20th Century Tokyo.

Sailor Moon R

Demande first sent Rubeus into the past, but Rubeus was defeated by the Sailor Guardians and destroyed along with his ship. Esmeraude was then sent into the past, but the Sailor Senshi kept foiling her plans. Esmeraude was in love with Prince Demande. After her death, Demande's younger brother Saphir found out that Wiseman was only using them for his own twisted goals, and attempted to warn him, but was killed by Wiseman.

Shortly after, Demande attempted to hypnotize Sailor Moon so he could rule the universe with her by his side as his queen and was about to kiss her, when Tuxedo Mask comes and rescues her.

Later, he hypnotizes Sailor Moon again and nearly succeeds in winning her, but then she remembers her friends, Mamoru, and escapes Demande's hypnotic powers. She was able to warn him about Wiseman's deception. Enraged, he turns on him learning that he had killed Saphir because he was trying to warn him about the treachery. When Wiseman directed two dark energy blades at Sailor Moon, Demande jumped in front of her and took the hit, and died as a result of his injury. However, he was able to damage Wiseman, shattering his arms, but Wiseman came back together. Before his death, Demande was able to tell Sailor Moon his true feelings for her - he did love her as a person.

Sailor Moon Crystal

The Black Moon is a group of humans who renounced Silver Millennium for using the Legendary Silver Crystal for defying natural order by extending human life and lived in self-imposed exile. But he soon met Wiseman and is convinced to lead the Black Moon to attack Crystal Tokyo with the power of the Malefic Black Crystal. During the initial attack, Demende encounters Neo-Queen Serenity and falls in love with her, his romantic obsession later extended to her past self Usagi Tsukino when he abducted her when she came to his time period. He also sends his minions to obtain the 30th century Silver Crystal from "the Rabbit".

Despite being devoted to Wiseman, Demande gradually realizes he was being exploited after the deaths of Esmeraude and Rubeus, demanding to see his benefactor's true face before being seemingly placed Wiseman's mind-control. However, while attacking the Guardians with Malefic Black Crystal earring, Demande reveals his farce as he forced to kill Saphir before attacking Wiseman. But upon learning Wiseman is actually Death Phantom, a criminal who merged his mind with Nemesis, Demande snaps and takes both Silver Crystals of the past and future with the intention of touching them together. But Sailor Pluto sacrifices herself to prevent him from unknowingly destroying the universe, giving the crystals to Sailor Moon with the future one returned to Chibiusa.

Demande shields Sailor Moon from Death Phantom's attack as atonement for his role in the villain's schemes, only to vaporized as he could not withstand the dark powers. In his final moments, he looked backed at Sailor Moon and called her "Queen".

Powers

Demande’s Black Moon symbol can become a third eye, which can stun and control his victim's minds or harm them. He is also able to fire powerful energy blasts from his hands. He also appears to have full control over the Malefic Black Crystal.
